Family vacation

First time to Iceland. We appreciate being able to leave luggage from cruise to site see before check-in. Also helpful getting us a taxi to KEF.

In general the hotel looked thread-bear and worn. It needs updating. Bathroom was tiny. Breakfast was very unremarkable for the cost. I would have done better somewhere else.

Very good hotel, very close to the city center the famous church and the supermarket. Very nice and helpful staff. Possibly to store the luggage for a week (which is extremely helpful if you are going to the Landmannalaugar trek). The water in the room sometimes has a sulfur smell. No free parking. 20 minutes walk from/to central bus station (BSI)

Well located

Well located but the staff we encounter seemed ho hum. This hotel was recommended to us because of the great staff but the ladies we encountered didn’t seem to be excited to be there. From check in to breakfast they weren’t particularly friendly.
Our spacious room was nice and had a great view over the roof tops of Reykjavík but the decor felt a bit faded and worn.

Good location, great stay

The location of this hotel is actually perfect, Hallgrímskirkja is just a couple of blocks in one direction and the city center and other attractions/restaurants are just a 5-10 minute walk in the other direction. Plenty of P2 zone parking around, which made overnight parking cheaper and easier then it would have been in the actual city center. The room was very modern and comfortable, it was a bit difficult to shower without the whole bathroom floor getting wet but that was a minor inconvenience. We opted to pay for breakfast the next morning, which had plenty of options including some of the best scrambled eggs I've ever had! Would recommend and stay again.
