Fantastic location, right in the middle of Reykjavik.
A smart, modern and very comfortable apartment in a fantastic location, literally a stones throw North of the Hallgrimskirkja. You can see the church steeple from the main bedroom window.
One roomy bedroom and a large open plan lounge and kitchen, we are a family of four including two ever growing teenagers and we had enough space even with the teens using the lounge as a bedroom. The bathroom has a large hanging space outside just next to the entrance door which made hanging up and drying all our winter gear quick and easy.
Parking outside on a meter was reasonable and when you've unpacked all your luggage you can always move your car to free parking, a street or two away once the day visitors have left.
This apartment was a real find and we will definitely book it again when we come back in a year or two.

An ideal little home away from home
This little gem is in a great and very central location. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we felt that we were in our own apartment. The unit was great with an in suite washer and dryer and kitchen which came very handy. We travelled with a 1 year old and they provided us with a highchair and a baby bed.
The location is minutes walk from central Reykjavik and many local sightseeing activities. There is a small grocery located just around the corner and another larger grocery store 3 blocks away.
Adding to the appeal is the quirky decor and art and you can't argue with the price - Bjarni and his family were great for us including an immediate and complete toilet replacement. And they will often give you a cash discount.
All and all when we get back to Iceland we will definately be staying here again. We were actually really sad to have to leave.

Best kept secret in Iceland
We stayed in this apartment during our three day layover in Iceland. The location couldn't be better! You are in the center of the old charming town, just steps from the central church at the top of hill. It is located off a quiet little side street. There is a little grocery store within a one minute walk for anything you would need. Local restaurants and shops are just a two minute walk away. We didn't realize until we were there how far many of the other apartments and hotels were from the historic old town. You will want to stay in the old town part, because there is very little to see and do outside the old town. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean. There were many little extras like umbrellas and laundry detergent for the washing machine. The owners were incrediblely nice. When we left my sons shirt at the local swimming pool about a mile away, the owners drove my husband there to retrieve it. The beds were very comfortable and having laundry facilities inside the apartment was great! The price was an amazing deal for a two bedroom apartment. They were very accomodating with our two children - age 5 and 8. They even set up seperate portable twin beds for them so they wouldn't have to share the sofa bed. All in all, we loved Iceland and loved the apartment here. We can't wait to fly Iceland Air again and do a layover in Iceland and stay at this apartment!
