comfortable room, good breakfast

I stayed here for one night as part of an organized tour. While the exterior might not look like much, the inside was very cozy. There are no lifts, so we had to lug our luggage up the stairs. The host has taken great care to create little nooks and lounges for guests to relax in. The room was clean, the Wi-Fi was strong, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. Overall, everything was ok.

Small hotel in a great location

We stayed here on our 9-day driving tour of Iceland. Our room was small, but very clean with comfortable beds. Although there is no elevator, the staff happily carried our heavy suitcases to the room and also downstairs the next morning. The manager was so helpful, even doing our laundry when we had been unable to locate a laundromat for the past several days of our trip. The location is excellent, just a couple blocks from the harbor.

Clean and simple. Kind manager.

More than a hotel, a B&B, small but welcoming breakfast room with variety. Clean room and bathroom in the room but we were in the basement so a little damp and dark. It's definitely fine for one night, but ask for the rooms on the floors above. Excellent location also for those who have to take the Baldur ferry

A small but very family-run hotel. Parking in front of the building. Pleasant rooms with good, comfortable beds. We slept wonderfully and peacefully. A good breakfast that was constantly replenished.

Do not stay here

My husband and I were traveling the western part of Iceland. We booked through a reputable travel company. We chose “ comfort” level stays. This was our 2 nd hotel. The first had been very nice
We were greeted by a lovely older woman who show us to our room- in the basement of the building. There were winding stairs to get there.
The size was fine. The rest was terrible
The room had an overall musty moldy smell- we soon found out why. Mold and rot in the bathroom!
The smell was overshadowed by the different diffusers and powerful laundry fragrance that no doubt was trying to hide the musty mold smell
No black out curtains , thin, worse than gym towels, no tissues, 3 hangers on the wall.
I called the front desk- all were gone called the emergency number. After a lot of rings I can only assume I got the owner. She was condescending and dismissive of my complaints. There were no other rooms available ANYWHERE in the town. We spent a sleepless night on her seer sucker sheets- who wants to sleep on popcorn?!
