Fantastic stay at Hotel Bistrot Buja. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest details: elegant environment, very clean rooms, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. The staff was very kind and always available, making us feel welcomed from the very first moment. The bistro is exceptional, with excellent dishes. A special place that I absolutely recommend.

We have travelled the world (including most of Italia) and we had great expectations for the Bristol Buja on our first trip to Abano Terme. However, the problems started early when we arrived after a long drive by car from the Rome airport. Where I literally watched the Porter run and hide when he saw that we had heavy luggage to unload. Which my wife and I then had to manage alone upon arrival, and then again on check-out! And it continued from there all downhill. Including the very un-friendly attitudes at reception. Acting as if our business was a distraction from their more important personal lives. Never once did we receive a pleasant hello or even buongiorno as we came and went. Not to mention that they claim to be Pet Friendly, totally false. Only if our 5kg well-behaved dog stayed isolated in the room with us! Finishing up this disaster, was our last morning. First, the breakfast ended 45 minutes early and the selection & service was limited. Then at a surprise required early check-out, it was shocking to see that the lobby had already been closed and the furniture all covered in sheets! Sadly, the only things positive about this aging "fake" 5 Star hotel were the women at the pool bar and lobby bar. Plus the Manager's very professional efforts to try and remedy the many problems we had at the hotel and in particular at the Spa. We sincerely appreciated his efforts. While Abano Terme was a great and elegant city, the Bristol Buja was a gigantic disappointment.

As loyal customers, it is nice to come back here to this big family. They are kind, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, the large pool with hydromassage is not always fully operational and not very well maintained in terms of cleanliness.

A place where you reborn
Abano is truly a place where you feel reborn. We discovered this hotel in 2020 during the Covid period, when travelling was complicated and restrictions were everywhere. This was one of the few places where it was possible to relax safely with all the required certificates and precautions in place. Since then, we have spent many family holidays here and completely fell in love with it.
The hotel itself is not overly flashy or “bling bling,” but that is exactly part of its charm. It has a warm, elegant, family-friendly atmosphere. Some rooms have been renovated while others still keep the classic style of this charming 5-star hotel.
One of the strongest points is definitely the food — absolutely delicious. Saying we come only for the food would not be entirely true, but it is certainly a big reason why we always return! The restaurant staff deserves a special mention: extremely professional, attentive, and always welcoming.
The pool area is another highlight and probably one of the best in Abano. There is one indoor pool, two outdoor pools (one with massage spots and another fresh-water pool perfect for swimming), plus an additional relaxation area with water jets. There is also an adults-only section, which is very peaceful and ideal for relaxing.
Like in most of Abano, the average age of guests is generally 70+, except during school holidays and weekends, when you meet more families and younger couples, creating a lovely and balanced atmosphere.
What makes this hotel truly special is that it is family-managed, and you can genuinely feel the care they give to their guests. Every time we come back, it feels like coming home. Each stay becomes a special vacation for us, and we are always happy to return.
