Something has changed.

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. We have been coming to the Hotel President for many decades. Of course, many things have changed over the years. Some changes are good, and some we do not find so good. However, we notice that there has been a noticeable change in many familiar amenities in the last two to three years. But also regarding the quality and the expectations that a 5-star hotel should provide! Above all, the quality of the food and the service in the evening should be mentioned. The buffet has clearly become worse, yet it is still very good. However, there are fewer lobsters, langoustines, and oysters as well as mussels than in the past. The dessert buffet has also become simpler. We also noticed this time that the table service has noticeably declined. Often the wrong wine and the wrong water were on our table. The wine was not poured, and there were far too few waiters for the number of guests present. This was also the main reason for the deterioration of the service. An important element has always been the personal connection to the waiters, but there were almost different waiters every evening. A 5-star hotel has the highest standards to meet; the path taken is not compatible with the significant price increase and the decline in service. Nevertheless, we felt comfortable because the therapies were still offered in the usual high quality.

We feel at home at the Hotel President, thanks to all the very friendly staff!!

We have been coming to the Hotel President since 2016. We were impressed from the very beginning by the warm welcome at the reception. All our wishes were fulfilled. We especially want to mention that all the hotel staff are very, very friendly, truly everyone!!! The hotel lives and dies with the staff!!! We feel at home at the Hotel President and are already looking forward to our visit next year. Even though we were not particularly satisfied with the food this year. There was too little variety. Here we would like to especially mention the buffet. It was significantly more abundant and varied in previous years.
Perhaps one should think about that!!

We have been staying at hotel president for 31 years , the staff are professional ,kind & caring our room is lovely and kept immaculate by the staff the treatments are first class
The one thing that lets you down is the food, the breakfast is good but the lunch and dinner are not
The chef over describes the the items on the menu this year was the worst its been it has slowly deteriorated over the last few years we would rather pay more and have better quality food
The buffet at lunchtime is poor compared to how it used to be there is nothing to put with a salad if you do not want what is on the menu
There are never any vegetables with the main course just a lot of dried up cold vegetables on the buffet table which are inedible
The chef should maybe put on less choice but good quality meat and fish with vegetables served at the same time and a vegetarian option and not make it all sound like Michelin star food quality which it certainly isn’t our rating would be 2 star
Also when the hotel is busy the waiters cannot cope as there are not enough of them
Your saving grace is your pastry chef as her desserts are 5 star
That is why we have rated 4 stars overall

Wonderful experience.

Everything was perfect. Spectacular thermal pools and spa. Clean and comfortable room. Top restaurant both for the food and for the kind and welcoming staff. We will definitely return soon.
