Another Immensely Enjoyable Stay

Hotel Paola is the ideal base from which to enjoy the many charms of Tuscany and its rich culture. The surrounding villages, towns and cities are very accessible from the hotel, it being a few minutes walk from the train station and providing off street parking to those driving. I've posted previously regarding the personal appeal of Hotel Paola, decorated to maintain its original ambience of a Tuscan villa. It has been renovated yet again since my last trip and is even more
attractive now. The beds are very comfortable and I slept well. Marco and Paola are, as always, professional, knowledgeable about local amenities and restaurants and so welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to help clients. The hotel continues to be maintained to an exceptionally high standard and is as always spotlessly clean. The addition of the breakfast room, tastefully decorated in the style of the rest of the villa, has enhanced the enjoyment of our stay this year. The buffet breakfast offering a comprehensive range of foods catering for every taste is unbeatable value. Marco is a wonderful host and took pains to provide a range of gluten free breakfast options for me. This early morning relaxed dining experience was all the more enjoyable listening to the discreet soft background music. The proprietors' attention to detail is what sets this hotel apart. I will be returning.

Only for early risers

I had to stay at that hotel and, working a night job, for me the ideal would be to get up at noon. Knowing that it is difficult to obtain this condition, I made an agreement with the owner to be able to sleep until 11:00 AM.
Unfortunately, already at 10:00 AM the cleaning lady (who I later realized was the owner herself) started banging around and making noise without the slightest regard. Not satisfied, later she came to knock like a desperate person on the door. Thinking she was an uninformed employee, I told her "Look, I made arrangements to stay until 11:00 AM." This old hag says to me, "So what, so what?" SO WHAT??? IT'S ALREADY A QUARTER TO 11:00 AND YOU HAVE TO LEAVE THE ROOM!" I don't know what kept me from telling her to go straight to h... Aside from the fact that I didn't ask for any "ignorant wake-up" service and that it wasn't actually even 10:40, in any case, if I pay and have an agreement to stay until 11:00, why do you have to come and break my b... beforehand?? To take away my desire to stay even a minute longer, they thought it best to turn off the air conditioning remotely as early as ten o'clock. Everyone can draw their own conclusions.

Unkindness

Our stay in the hotel was good for the room that had all the comforts but unfortunately the gentleman at the reception made the stay unpleasant for the not kindness ... too bad

Sufficient

Booked with booking...Experience just minus the sufficiency.
A certain "Marco" calls us before arrival at the property communicating that the arrival entered through booking was late (10 pm) and that the structure just to meet us remained open maximum until 9.30 pm otherwise we would lose the night already paid (like the next 2) and risked sleeping on the street...
room not very soundproof, in the morning at 7.30 the neighbor wanted to do construction work, warm water and not hot ... nn serve breakfast ... at 10 am was scheduled to check out ... the lady who had checked in at arrival, at 9.30 am (the last day) knocks on the door telling us to leave the room ...
After a few days booking asks us to insert la.recensione...insert the review for us adequate for the stay, that is enough...suddenly he starts calling on WhatsApp this "pseudo Marco"...obviously my partner does not respond and this gentleman leaves a written msg directly...I try to contact him but does not respond...a tip...if you do not accept criticism, which is constructive, do not be hoteliers

It’s ok.

Ok pleasant hotel . But very basic . Clean and functional . The host is very friendly and helpful .
