Perfect Little Place!

We have stayed here a couple of times and recently got married down the road from Argegno. We advised a number of friends to stay here! The owner (Nico) is an absolute gent and is so helpful! The apartments are large, lake views have a stunning view! Comfy bed, large bathroom! Kitchen has all you need! You even get a free bottle of bubbly when you arrive!! It’s a few hundred yards from the main square & parking is even less than that!
Stay here! You won’t regret it!

Bring your own pillows!

Although the room is clean and spacious, the pillows are the worst!!!! No sleep for us allowed. When we asked for replacements, we were told they had none. It is like sleeping on a bag of apples. Now we are buying pillows so that we can get some sleep for our last night. Omg, the WORST!!!!!

Authentic Italian charm

Locanda Posta is the perfect place to experience Argegno and Lake Como. Locanda Posta is situated very close to the age-old stone bridge over the river Telo which flows into the lake. The view over the lake is beautiful. The owner and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The milk, juice and necessities in the kitchen is a very nice touch. At first I thought that the main road and the restaurant downstairs would be too noisy, but I did not bother me at all.

A quiet hotel in the heart of Argegno

Locanda Posta is a small Hotel away from the main road and next to the river that runs through the village.
This is a family run hotel and each room is generous with bathroom and small kitchen and dining area for those wanting to enjoy a longer self catering stay.
The rooms are very clean and our had cross ventilation via windows on both sides of the building and the cross ventilation compensated for the lack of air conditioning in the height of summer.
Being set away from the main road that follows the lake frontage meant that traffic noise was not a problem, and the sound of rushing water from the river was a delight.
We had a complimentary bottle of fizz, orange juice and milk in the fridge, and there was an oven and microwave in the room. The dining table sat 4 and was a great place to plan the day ahead with space to spread out maps.
The hotel has a limited number of rooms all of which are above a fantastic restaurant that serves great local cuisine.
There are two large car parks within two minutes walk and the hotel has tickets to display in your window to allow parking.
If you are looking for a simple clean and no frills stay, this is a great location. The ferry terminal is two minutes walk and the centre on of the village has a wide range of food offers and an ice cream shop, clustered around the fountain in the village square.

A find!

The enterprising young man who owned the place was really nice (even invited us to his party to celebrate his anniversary of owning the place). As Elleaitch57 says, it is a little hard to find, but not frustratingly so. It was a modern, efficient, clean apartment with balcony, bit of a view of the lake. It is evident that he puts care into the details. Nearby mini-grocery and fresh fruit market for essentials. Great location for hopping on the ferry to explore the other lake villages. Wish we would have visited his stylish wine cellar and restaurant!!! Next time!
