A scam
TO BE ABSOLUTELY AVOIDED!!!
On September 2 on the Booking.com platform we booked the "Sanian" structure in Bibione for one night. At the Reservation was not specified the end of check-in, but only the start at 15:00 and Check-out "tomorrow" (I have everything documented in the email). Reservation was non-refundable and you had to pay immediately and not at the property. I book at about 21:40 and we leave for the structure me, my husband and three children plus luggage. At 22:15 I receive the email from the "Sanian" structure that tells me that the keys to the apartment I booked are at another structure (an agency) that is open until 19:00 and they also reminded me that I booked an apartment and NOT a hotel structure with h24 service and they asked me to arrive in time to get the keys!!!!??? At 22:15 you tell me that I have to get the keys by 19:00!!!?!????????? Is this a joke?!?!?!! There was also a landline phone number "for more information" which obviously no one answered.
Dear Booking.com, You Accept the NON REFUNDABLE Reservation at 21:40 to tell me only AFTER PAYMENT MADE that I can only take the keys by 19:00. Not to mention the sheets and towels that were not included in the price, we also discovered this AFTER payment.
We traveled almost 90 km to get to the property, we called (without receiving a Response), we also called Booking.com support but even there it was not possible to speak with an operator, they invited us to contact tomorrow or by email. And we ended up sleeping in a car on the highway with three kids. The next day I sent an email to Booking.com customer service asking for a refund but did not receive the Response. Then I sent the complaint to Booking.com, and they replied that they are very sorry for what happened but the property has banned the refund.
The way I see it, this is a real scam!!! I would ask in addition to the refund, also for damages!!!
