Secluded mountaintop nook.
We were in Castel Rigone for a family wedding and stayed at La Morosa. if you are driving around Umbria and Toscano this would be a fantastic base or a great stop to relax. Clean apartments, a warm friendly host in Fabio, a convenient alimentari, a clean refreshing pool, and a sweet welcoming little mountaintop town with breathtaking views. A frighteningly low price for the amenities and a quiet comfortable nights sleep. Paradiso.

A true Umbrian Paradise!
Already for the third time we’ve spent a great holiday at La Morosa. The Bavarian German – Italian couple Berni and Manuela and their son Fabio are very warm people and fantastic hosts. They do everything to make you feel comfortable. We were welcomed with a delicious homemade cake, but also with all basic needs so you do not have to go straight to a store. How thoughtful!
The five apartments are all very clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. The beautiful garden, full of flowers, is maintained daily, as is the lovely swimming pool. La Morosa is located in the heart of Castel Rigone, a tiny and lovely medieval village. All basic amenities (small grocery store, bar, restaurant, pharmacy) are within walking distance, yet you feel like staying in the countryside, with marvellous views on the Umbrian hills and Lake Trasimeno. All tourist highlights in Umbria and most in Tuscany are easy to visit in a day trip (even a day trip to Rome is doable). There are plenty of excellent restaurants close to Castel Rigone. Berni knows the best places to visit and may even help you to make reservations. All together La Morosa is an excellent place to relax and to enjoy the good Italian life. For sure we will come back to enjoy another great holiday!

Geweldig (great)
Great host Berni. Lovely location. Away from tourism. Small village with local people. Good accomodation. Big appartment, Nice garden and swimmingpool. Lots of beautiful old villages and city's nearby. Berni had some good diner recommandations. We arrived 2 hours late. Berni was waiting for us. He was still friendly. We checked- out too late and still no problem. Then we had a problem with our rentalcar. Thanks to Berni we could quickly continue our holiday.

Heaven on earth!
I have stayed in all the apartments now and they are all very charming, well equipped, clean and convenient. La Morosa always looks perfect as the owners take the greatest care of the property; cleaning the pool, watering the plants, plucking the fruits but above all making sure everyone who is staying at La Morosa has the best time possible. The sweet couple and their son speak Italian, German and English and are always happy to help out. This summer was our first time here with a baby and they made sure all was arranged for us. It is a very quiet place with lots of privacy although you can just walk into the small but cosy town to drink a coffee or drink, do some groceries and eat with a magnificent view over the lake.

Thanks for wonderful time!
As always enjoyed our stay in this oasis of quietness. The apartments and house are comfortable and beds are good. The location is perfect: closely to supermarket and the old town square of Castel Rigone, while easy to travel to hotspots as Perugia. The owners are very service oriented and most friendly. For charging your battery and enjoying Umbria, the perfect location - somewhere you absolutely want to go back to!
