Family-concept hotel

Very good we were welcomed well. The hotel manager is always available. What I liked was the patio /the vending machines accessible at night.

Stay away! No sense of customer service, unacceptable rigidity, and deplorable welcome.

An absolute disgrace to the hotel profession.
Following a train delay completely beyond my control, I was going to arrive 25 short minutes past the check-in deadline (10:25 PM instead of 10:00 PM). I had the decency to call the hotel to warn them of my distressing situation. Instead of finding a solution (like a simple access code or a key box, practices that are elementary today), the person I spoke with answered me with rare contempt: "We are not going to come back to open the hotel for you."
Arrived on site, doors closed. Result: left to fend for myself in the middle of the night, forced to look for another hotel in an emergency, with the stress and additional costs that this entails.
This establishment takes your money but has absolutely no notion of customer service, flexibility, or simple human courtesy in the face of a transport mishap. If you are looking for a reliable hotel that does not leave you on the sidewalk for a 20-minute delay, keep looking. An official complaint is in progress. Establishment to be avoided at all costs.

Hotel cancelled our booking and stole our money

My wife and I booked 2 nights at this hotel whilst we were travelling through Italy. Unfortunately, we were travelling from Rome and one of our trains was delayed which had a knock on effect and meant we would arrive potentially upto 15/20 minutes after the check in time (10pm). Despite messaging the hotel and keeping them informed they would not budge at all and insisted we had to be there by 10pm (impossible under the circumstances). Due to whoever was messaging us being extremely unhelpful I did not want my wife and I to be stranded with no accommodation in a foreign country. I therefore emailed the hotel and said we had no alternative to hop off our train and stay somewhere else for the night. But I did state that if they told us what time reception opened that we travel there in the morning and check in then and complete the rest of our stay.
Sadly the rather unscrupulous owners then cancelled our booking online at 10:09pm and kept our money for the two night stay and refused to let us complete our stay. I have now spend the last week and a half trying to reason with them (as have booking.com), which now means I have to take legal action against booking.com as they are the uk agents. I have made a request to them that they suspend their account as it appears from looking at these reviews that they have done the same to a lone female traveler and left her stranded late at night.
Please avoid this hotel as they have simply stolen our money, what is interesting is that I checked on their page and they were re advertising our room at twice the rate.

THIEVES

I book in the evening at 21.02 by booking, with immediate payment, communicating my arrival at 22.30. With all the "calm" in the world the structure writes to me via booking platform in a cold and disintegrated way: "the reception closes at 10 pm." Alarmed, I try to phone the property before 10pm, but no one answers. Given the circumstances I hasten to arrive early. At 22.18 I am in front of the structure: everything closed and no possibility of access, with the discomfort of having to walk around Como with luggage in hand looking for a structure to sleep with, clearly, a major expense. The next day the structure does not even bother to give me a call, so I contact the booking call center to ask for information about a refund. The operator informs me that the refund is the sole will of the structure, to compensate the customer as a commercial gesture in the face of an inconvenience. After repeated phone calls to the structure, without answer, I am finally answered by someone, who tells me the will, at my request, at least to offer a stay at a later date already paid for given the circumstance. Unlike what was communicated by phone, after a few hours I write the structure proposing a 20 percent discount on the next stay ..
Incredible..
Bottom line: they stole 48 euros from me, in a rather mean way.
If you can not accept customers after a certain time you do not leave the reservation open fifty minutes from the closing of the shutter, appealing to a banal "reception closes at 22.00", written at the end of the description.
I move constantly for work staying in many facilities, I have never been faced with such a lowness.

Bad stay

Bad experience: tiny room not corresponding to the photos, non-existent soundproofing and entrance door to the glass room covered only by a semi-transparent curtain. The bedroom door overlooks the garden directly (it was probably a storage room turned into a room) so all the guests who stopped on the garden chairs could see our shadows in the room. We searched for the staff at the reception to ask for a room change (as per the room booked from the online photos) but we did not find anyone and even the next day at check out (9.30) we did not meet the staff. We wanted to spend a nice evening on Lake Como but the experience for 140 € per night was bad.
