Superlative location in Cortona
A stone's throw from the splendid Cortona, Rita met us in the late afternoon to take us directly to her splendid farmhouse.
2 independent and mirrored apartments suitable for 4 couples of friends or families.
Well furnished, impeccably clean and equipped with every comfort.
An excellent tart was waiting for us for breakfast with fruit juice, tea, milk and coffee.
The courtesy and helpfulness of the owners are a feather in the cap.
It's a shame that we only stayed one night and wasn't able to fully enjoy the location.
In summer the swimming pool and barbecue with garden and olive grove that reaches the foot of the historic center make it a stay of complete relaxation and enjoyment in company.
Heartfelt thanks to Rita and her husband who recommended a convenient park to directly reach the cathedral of Arezzo without effort and additional costs.
I highly recommend this location with the hope of returning soon in the summer for more time.

We occupied both apartments, one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor.
Excellent furnishings and finishes that welcome and make you feel like you are in Tuscany!!!!
The care of the external environments, garden and terraces is impeccable.
Everything clean and working.
Helpful and courteous welcome.

Wonderful week in Cortona
This is a beautiful house (split horizontally into two self contained apartments). It was perfect for our family holiday with parents/grandparents.
Both apartments have direct access to a beautiful pool with the most relaxing and stunning views across the valley floor towards Montepulciano to the west.
The property is set in olive tree terraces leading up to Cortona. Even the walk around the olive trees is relaxing.
Rita and Alessandro take great care of the property. It is spotless. There is a nice outdoor area for dining and a oil-drum barbecue with an endless supply of wood ready to go. We visited the region during the day and ate at home most evenings.
Il Torrino is the perfect place for extended family or two families who want some time together but also their own space. We loved it and will definitely be back.
Rita cooks a fantastic apricot flan (thanks Rita) and Alessandro speaks very good English. They really were the most hospitable people we have met yet on our journey. Thank you.

Our Dream Honeymoon
What can I say? We've dreamt of spending a couple of weeks in the Tuscan hills in a charming setting where we could relax. We found it. Everything was perfect. It has everything you need including laundry.
The upstairs apartment was charming, the pool was refreshing, and Cortona is as wonderful as Frances Mayes described. The hosts were very nice and helpful.
We used it as a base to see a lot of Tuscany, Umbria and the Cinque Terre. Most nights we simply shopped locally and ate on the patio. We hated to leave.
We plan on returning for our 5th anniversary.

Ciao Andrew e Alfie, che bella sorpresa leggere ancora le vostre parole meravigliose. Ci siete rimasti nel cuore, sarete sempre i benvenuti per ogni occasione che possa portarvi in Italia e in Toscana. Un forte abbraccio. Però la prossima volta festeggeremo insieme, faremo una bella cena all'agriturismo e io cucinerò per voi!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!
WOW! GREAT apartment, GREAT property, GREATER hosts!! Stunning views of the valley below Cortona and of the cascading landscape on Cortona’s slopes! Have encountered many good hosts on our travels, but Rita & Alessandro are simply the best! Never before met hosts who get so much pleasure from doing all they can to make their guests’ visit as memorable as possible. If listed on the posting, you’ll get it, and then some! So fortunate to have been able to enjoy one of their apartments for 17 days. Dreaded leaving, but already making plans to return next year. Ciao Rita, ciao Alessandro. Grazie mille!!
