Chopin Hotel is Unique
We stayed one night at Hotel Chopin before our return flight from FCO. The staff on duty was extremely helpful and spoke good English, the small restaurant onsite served wonderful food and we were even allowed to finish a bottle of wine that we had along. The breakfast was hearty and offered many choices. The shuttle service pickup at the the hotel for return to FCO was excellent. We had difficulty finding the shuttle pickup on arrival at FCO and wound up taking a local Fiumicino taxi. The taxi driver delivered us quickly to the hotel. Decor of the main hotel building is quirky with lots of unique furnishings, room was clean and bed was comfortable. We would stay here again if we return to FCO on a future trip.

★★☆☆☆ – Not up to the standard of a 3-star hotel
I stayed at the Hotel Chopin in Fiumicino and, unfortunately, the experience was not satisfactory.
The main building is very peculiar and, in my opinion, resembles a thrift store or an antique exhibition more than a hotel. The reception looks like a warehouse, while the common areas are full of vintage objects and there are even two vintage cars on display inside the property. It is a style that some may like, but personally I found it poorly suited for an accommodation facility.
The most unpleasant surprise was discovering that I had been placed in an annex located about 200 meters from the main building, a circumstance that was not clearly indicated at the time of booking on Booking. I believe that this information should be communicated with greater transparency.
The room was aesthetically pleasing and recently renovated, but it had significant defects. It is practically impossible to sleep in the dark: there are no shutters or blinds and the blackout curtains, being detached from the wall, let in a lot of light from the early hours of the morning. The soundproofing is terrible and you can clearly hear noises and conversations coming from the neighboring rooms. Furthermore, the bed was made up of two single mattresses pushed together, of modest quality, with decidedly uncomfortable pillows.
The breakfast disappointed me as well. The selection is of very poor quality and with very little choice: only a few cakes, yogurt, fruit juices, and plain croissants were available. There is a complete lack of savory options, and the buffet is set up in a careless and uninviting way, well below what one would expect from a three-star hotel.
The only positive note is the restaurant, where I had dinner: very generous portions, honest prices, and rustic cuisine, simple but satisfying.
Overall, I believe the property does not live up to its three-star hotel rating. The shortcomings in the room darkening, the lack of soundproofing, the poor quality of the breakfast, and the lack of transparency regarding the accommodation in the annex made the stay well below expectations. Personally, I would not return.

Hi, not as close to the FCO ,its a 30 euros UBER (not taxi)
30 extra going back..
Not a restaurant on a sunday was upsolutly nothing to eat other that a 10 dollar small cheese pizza.

The hotel’s facilities are subpar.
The shower is spacious enough to accommodate a toddler.
The bathroom is compact, and the shower is exceptionally small, making it impractical for use.
The hotel charges an additional fee for each occupant.
Despite booking a room for three, we were allocated a room for four. When we added a toddler, the hotel increased the charge, even though we had already set a price.

I asked them to call me a taxi at 4:00 in the morning, as I had to go to the airport at that time.
When I went down to reception to take it, the supposed “taxi driver” turned out to be the owner of the hostel (or at least a worker). I recognized him because the night before I had seen him out smoking with his dog, which was also in reception with him and his wife. Clearly he wasn't a taxi driver.
I find it totally unfair to have had to pay €35, as if it were the nightly fare of a real taxi to the airport, when in fact it was no taxi.
Just after leaving reception, I thought it was strange, because I recognized the man. Besides, he wasn’t even able to help me with the suitcase; I had to take it myself to the cab. Seeing that it was a normal car, I told him that wasn't a taxi and that it wasn't stupid. He insisted it was.
Once inside the car, I told him again because he didn’t understand why he was lying to me, and then he changed his version by saying it was the shelter transport. However, on the Internet it clearly indicated that this service cost €7 to the airport.
Honestly, I feel conned. I have a feeling they've laughed at me in my face. I don't think it's right at all for someone to act like they're a taxi driver when they're not. In Spain this is not legal, and in Italy I do not know it, but it is certainly a very unprofessional practice.
I wouldn't mind paying €35 to a real taxi driver, but paying that amount to the accommodation taking advantage of the situation, no.
