Great location
Very nice apartment located a couple of blocks away from Florence's Dome. Very comfortable for our whole family of 5. At a walking distance from the train station so is very easy to arrive and depart.

Location perfect
I was in this apartment in 2009 so I booked it again. I was more than disappointed. It's gotten a little old. Which surprised me that it's not a towel change. No contact at the lobby. Not a welcome present, as is customary.

Comfortable bed, but dirty, unfortunately we found hair on it, evidently they hadn't washed the sheets.
Strange smell when entering.
I wouldn't go back, because in any case for what we paid we were not satisfied with our experience (€175, for two, for two nights)
We booked on the Air b&b website, initially they told us that the hotel was closer but then the location was changed.
However, the host is very helpful and gives the opportunity to leave your bags for free and safely.

Not a great stay
We stayed in apartment 8. When we booked we were told there is an attendant at desk in duty. We were there for three days and never saw anyone. We locked ourselves out of the apartment and was told someone would let us in electronically. We waited 30 minutes and no help was given. We found a key in the reception desk that got us into the room. (Probably would have gotten us into any room. SCARY!) The air conditioning worked minimally. There were three of us staying and it was very crowded. Would recommend only for two. The pull out sofa was very old with worn out mattress. It was a most uncomfortable stay. The location was great. I wish we had more good to say. Hoping the other apartments are better than ours. Don’t stay in #8.

Tag this place “The Last Of Florence”
I made the mistake of choosing First Of Florence Residence Apart’Hotel in mid-January 2020 when planning and booking a trip to Italy over April-May. I was fooled by its many positive online reviews. It turned out to be the only travel service provider in Italy that ever tried to cheat me.
I booked direct on the hotel website at a rate explicitly described as “Refundable 14gg” and “Refundable up to 14 days before check-in”.
Mishandling of my booking by First Of Florence began immediately. Prepayment was charged to my credit card in my home currency, instead of Italy’s legal currency, euros, in which the accommodation price was quoted. Without my authority, and in contravention of my direct instructions, the charge was converted to my home currency at a foreign exchange rate adverse to me. The vendors awarded themselves a windfall extra profit from an inflated rate of foreign exchange conversion. When I complained, they responded that they would “manually make a new charge in euros and request the cancellation of the previous charge”. Although I immediately responded accepting this arrangement, they failed to take the action promised.
Meanwhile, by mid-March, government lockdowns and air travel restrictions in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic had made it impossible to travel to Italy as planned. I cancelled the booking and sought refund by email 40 days in advance of the booked check-in date. My reasonable expectation of a prompt full refund was weeks ahead of the explicit “refundable up to 14 days before check-in” terms of the booking.
However, nothing happened. I received absolutely no further response from First of Florence to cancelation or my series of follow-up contact attempts by email and phone.
Ultimately, when it became clear that First of Florence had no intention of fulfilling its obligations or even of responding to me, I initiated a credit card transaction dispute through my bank. My bank examined documentation, determined that my complaint was legitimate, and promptly refunded me in full. From that point the bank took over from me all responsibility for pursuing First Of Florence for restitution.
Fortunately for me and other consumers, banks such as mine are very protective of the integrity and trustworthiness of the credit card transaction system. My bank added to its admirable track record of acting against credit card fraud and impropriety, and went up in my estimation. On the other hand, First Of Florence gets a zero rating from me for integrity and trustworthiness. I have tagged this establishment “The Last Of Florence”.
