Unique historic building/hotel
We arrived at the hotel early and were able to check into our rooms which was nice. The elevator is very small, two of us with carry-on bags and backpacks just barely fit. Our room was amazing (room 31). It had a large sitting room, 2 full bathrooms and a bedroom with views of the Duomo. (I found out later we had received a complimentary upgrade.) Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast here was very good and the staff was nice. The location was excellent, just 1/2 a block to the Accademia and close to the Duomo. The hotel is a good value for the money. I would definitely stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our short stay. From the check in to front desk personal (Daniello and an older gentleman working at night) that provided us with great recommendations and helped us with a spare phone charger. The suite was lovely and authentic. There was also a bottle of delicious red wine and snacks waiting for us, which we very much appreciated. The breakfast was delicious and the location was amazing and convenient to all major sites. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Great location but not quite as special hotel as we hoped
To be honest this hotel was not quite as special as we thought it would be.
Positive: brilliant location slightly away from the tourist heart of Florence but still walking distance. Located in historic square. Good breakfast. Helpful staff.
Negative: quite small bedrooms. Our view (at the back) was of a brick wall. Lack of communal space which was v dark so it lacked atmosphere. It only takes up a small part of the old convent but the photos make it appear bigger than it is. Given the above points, it felt rather expensive, though maybe that’s normal for Florence and in fact this hotel is good value? Unfortunately Florence is an overpriced city now.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a feedback on your stay. I cannot comment on the width of the room as all the rooms are different in size and decor. What I can answer is about the communal place you said are lacking to give you and all the readers more information. We have a bar and lounge right next to the reception that can be used freely by whoever has checked- in, and two sitting rooms on the second floor. Being this a very old building is full of niches that only wait for curious travellers to be discovered and the reception is always open to answer any question. The "small part" you are indicating consists of 32 rooms located in the building that once was the guesthouse founded by the Serviti friars to welcome pilgrims and visitors to Florence. We are their heirs, still here, still keeping this original meaning and aim. I hope you will come back to explore the other category of rooms we have and the building itself.

A beautiful place to celebrate!
My husband and I, with 40 family members, spent 8 days here celebrating our 65th wedding anniversary. The lovely boutique hotel and location at Piazza Della SS Annunziata was a perfect choice! The rooms are decorated with beautiful antique furniture, and Chiara along with her entire staff had us all feeling quite at home. We all had an experience that will last a lifetime, and that includes ages from 4 yrs. to 87 yrs! Loggiato Dei Serviti was centrally located and an easy starting point for everyone’s daily excursions. We definitely made a wonderful choice!

Not acceptable
I booked this hotel through booking .co.m then the hotel confirmed I gave my card details updated them after phoning hotel and emailing them they said they cancelled my booking why ?? Because said my card details not updated it was pay at the hotel not pay online now fully booked no rooms left phoned them they say email them dissatisfied with this customer service at this hotel now have to book somewhere else why say online pay at hotel then say your card not updated phnd booking com they phoned hotel they apologised for not saying on the Web page pay online instead they said pay at hotel the manager of this hotel should train their staff properly

First of all I am sorry to read about this experience you had but I enquired with my staff and none of this has happened so, I am positive you are addressing to the wrong hotel ( there a more than one Loggiato dei Serviti in Italy, unfortunately). Besides, we do work with Booking.com but we ONLY receive reservations that are granted through this agency virtual credit card and not through the clients' credit card. At the hotel, guests are only due to pay the city tax and any extras. Therefore, this is not our case and your comment is not possibly destinated to us. Generally speaking, when you book a room, even if you will pay at the venue, the credit card is pre authorised by the hotel to make sure there are sufficient funds to cover the cost of the room so, it is important to have a valid credit card when you book. If the card doesn't have sufficient funds, the hotel informs Booking.com that will get in touch with the guest asking to provide a valid credit card. If this is not done within 24 hours, the reservation is cancelled.
