Walking distance to train station & downtown
If you're in Florence, this B&B is a 10 minute walk from train station and 20 minute from downtown. The breakfast was OK for a B&B and the staff was very nice upon arrival. The room was spacious (for European standards) and had it's private bathroom. The only inconvenience we had is that they didn't leave shampoo or body wash for the second night (sachets). Also, there isn't a telephone on the property and we needed to call a cab. Other than that, everything was OK

Basic B&B
We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and was okay, it was very basic but we didn’t have high expectations in all honesty.
The hotel is situated just outside of the city centre around 10 minutes from the train station (Santa Maria novella), it is a random door in a side street so can easily be missed. The area wasn’t great so we made sure to walk back before dark which was a shame as it would have been nice to see Florence during the sunset.
The lady who greeted us was very kind and lovely, the room was clean and tidy however there was often a smell from the bathroom. There was also only one plug socket in the whole room which proved quite a challenge! This B&B also didn’t have a safe so we had to carry a lot of our valuables due to concerns over leaving them in the B&B.
The breakfast was self service and wasn’t fresh it was packets of croissants, yoghurts and fruit so was slightly disappointing, I was hoping more for a fresh continental breakfast.
Overall this B&B was very basic, it served our needs for 4 nights but if we had been staying any longer we might have found somewhere a bit closer to the city centre with a better breakfast!

Unprofessional staff & bad location
The pictures of this hotel do not show how bad the location is. It's got construction site right in front of it with very difficult access and it's very hard to find parking around it.
My friend and I got lost on the way and when we managed to find it we found out that nobody was there to open the door and the only option we had left was to find another hotel to spend out vacation. We were happy to stay in a hotel on a hill away from the city center with great service and helpful staff.

Most inflexible, unethical B&B
Fellow travellers beware!
My friend and I drove from Rome to Florence and intended to stay at this B&B. Unfortunately are travel was slightly delayed and we arrived 35 mins outside of the checking time and because of this the b&b cancelled our reservation. We did even try and call the b&b to advice of our late arrival but unsurprisingly they did not answer and instead charged us the full rate for 2 days stay, even though booking had asked them not to. An ethical business would have said the 1st night is lost due to late check in of 35 mins past checking time, but you can check in on the 2nd night.
So unless you can guarantee arrival at this property at 19.55 think twice before booking here in addition the area seems to have lots of road construction in front of the house and the owner or person we delt with Francesca is a really difficul, inflexible and rude person.

We stayed in the street for a delay of 15mn, which had already been previously informed and consented, but we arrived at Piccarda and stuck our noses in the door!
After a thousand and one unsuccessful contact attempt, we saw our reservation being canceled and we were forced to look for another accommodation after the stay was already paid ...
We were robbed, literally!
No one was willing to talk to us, and we lost the total money from the reservation that had already been made ...
It was horrible to go through this!
It only reveals that they are people of bad nature.
