The happy hour here is a bloody great bargain, not quite as much as an airport lounge, but 25 for unlimited food and drinks is daylight robbery and I will happily rob them blind every time. Anyway, 5 euros for a delicious campari spritz is fantastic value. Not to mention they recommended an exceptional wine tour.
On the first stop of the wine tour, the first thing I did of course, was immediately call my dad to tell him about the newly born goats. Did you know the goats in Italy actually make the wine here?
Anyway, I had to let my dad know about the delectable olive oil and warn him of how limited the production is. 300kg a year. It's nothing. I could go through that much on a Friday night on the 4th floor. My dad put in an order for 5 litres of olive oil, realising quickly if he didn't act decisively I would take it all for myself. In the end I dropped 100 euros on wine and oil, and when you consider how rare each bottle is. That. Is. A. Bloody. Great. Deal.
Alas though, with a great time comes great responsibility. And with a diet of wine and cigarettes for 3 days, comes a price to pay. Something I quickly learnt 6 glasses deep, during the 2nd stop of the tour. My dad won't be hearing about this one.
It was just after I'd given those American girls a cigarette and thought I'd go for a cheeky fart. I quickly realized it had all gone wrong.
‘Oh no. It can't be.’ I thought to myself. I rushed to the toilet; yelling and waving my hands in the air. The queue was enormous but I had a plan.
“Excuse me. I'm a man and I've soiled myself.” I shouted at the startled women. They let me straight through. Uno reverse card. I slam the bathroom door shut. A single large UK spider sat in the corner, judging me for my sins, as I posted the evidence through the window, which landed deftly next to a table of patriots sampling the wine. They shouted in surprise as I cackled with delight. Uno reverse card.
I walked out of the bathroom with my head held high. Get me in the shower and back to the 4th floor immediately. I need to get to my meat tasting session.
