We absolutely loved our stay here. The location and room was exquisite. All staff were very friendly and helpful. A most gorgeous location for breakfast where Stefania served us delicious cappuccino. Joel, on reception, was most helpful. We will come back.

Fabulous location, but the management and ownership ruin the experience
WEDDING REVIEW
We chose Castello di Gabiano for our wedding, fascinated by the objective beauty of the structure. If I were to judge only the location (which is splendid), the quality of the food (excellent), and the exquisite kindness of the dining room and operational staff, the rating would be a full 5 stars. Unfortunately, the organizational management, the direction, and the ownership proved to be completely inadequate to manage an event of this scale, drastically lowering the value of everything else.
There were two episodes in particular that compromised our peace of mind at such an important moment:
The last-minute contractual management: Just three days before the wedding, due to an internal change in management, we were presented with a new agreement with rates adjusted upward compared to what had been agreed upon months earlier. Finding ourselves close to the event, with the objective impossibility of reorganizing everything elsewhere, we felt forced to sign. A behavior that we consider deeply unfair and devoid of that professionalism and elegance that one expects from a structure of this level.
The broken promise regarding the park: A key element in our choice was the shaded area of the park for the civil ceremony. Following a storm that occurred weeks earlier, the area was unusable. After our formal requests for clarification (we were evaluating alternatives), the management and ownership had reassured us in writing that the area would be restored in time for our day. Instead, on the very morning of the wedding, upon the arrival of our vendors, we discovered that the area was still completely unusable and that nothing had been done, without anyone having taken the trouble to notify us beforehand. This forced us into an emergency last-minute reorganization and to celebrate the ceremony under the beating sun, creating discomfort for us and our guests.
The thing that disappointed us most was the total absence of apologies or a minimum of empathy on the part of the ownership and the new management, who hid behind a cold bureaucratic rigidity at the time of the final bill, without showing any respect for the client or for the emotional value of such a day.
Therefore, nothing to say about the place itself or the food and service, but the management and ownership were totally absent and incapable of managing certain types of events.

Spectacular location
I just spent a weekend with my wife and my beloved poodle in this charming location.
Located on top of a hill the rooms are scattered within this wonderful castle.
We had the suite "Chess" in the hunting estate: consisting of a sitting room with kitchenette and a bedroom with a four-poster bed.
Given the price the bathroom was absolutely not up to (microscopic) and the view as well since the window was facing the alley of the village!
Too bad because the view of Monviso, the Alps and the Po is wonderful.
Great and beautiful restaurant.

A unique stay on castle grounds. Staff was so friendly and accommodating, they opened the restaurant just for us! And the food was amazing.

We left...already paid for but we left. We were in Italy for 2 weeks and this wine was the worst we'd ever tasted (we tried a bottle from the room, bought different one in their shop, and tried another with dinner and all of them were bad). Wine shop said you need to open for a WEEK? WTH?? And NO Shower?? Who offers a room without a shower? The 'dining room' had folding metal chairs that hurt our backs and the food was unimaginative to say the least. Spinach, spinach, potato. Very French, not Italian. Construction outside our window. Pool covered/closed and the garden completely overgrown. Can't even go in the castle so what was the point?! Augh.
