What a little Gem!!!
Garda is a beautiful town and Villa Anthea is a very well located family run hotel. Staff and owners go out of their way to make it a home from home, very helpful and always with a smile, big shout out to Radu and his sense of humour, he did make us laugh
Room was a bit on the small side but who spends all day in the room, small balcony but able to fit two small chairs on.
All areas very clean and nice toiletries and pool bags provided on request.
QR code made easy request for snacks and drinks, served to you on the terraces if you wished.
Fabulous breakfast, lots of choice, all freshly prepared, homemade cakes too and replenished quickly.
Lovely relaxing outside areas to sit and chill and chat to other guests or enjoy the pool as you wish, not noisy and not too busy either to say hotel was fully booked, could always get a sunbed.

but quietly as it is a hidden gem )

Lovely hotel, run by lovely people
We stayed at Villa Anthea in the first week of June 26, and it was tremendous. The rooms are slightly smaller than expected, and the balcony hasn't really enough room for two people, but those are the only very minor negatives in an otherwise great stay.
Clean, well equipped room, with all you would expect from a modern hotel - WiFi, safe, TV, USB sockets etc. Ultimately, we spent little time there as the pool and outside lounge areas are so lovely just to sit and enjoy the calm atmosphere. The addition of QR codes, where drinks and snacks are delivered to you outside are icing on an already delicious cake.
Breakfast leaves nothing wanted for. From fresh fruit to pancakes to pastries to bacon and eggs there is everything you could ask for, and they are constantly refilling the containers which means the food is consistently fresh and hot.
The hotel is minutes from the lake, and the wee back streets where there are loads bars and restaurants.
Every member of staff we spoke to was pleasant, helpful, and everyone seemed happy to be there, which is a sign of a healthy work environment.

Great small hotel in Garda
Great family run hotel. Good location just a few minutes walk from the lake.
Stayed in a ‘piccola room’, on the small side but everything we needed and very clean.
Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit and lots of choice.

Lake Garda, June 2026
We spent 9 nights at Villa Anthea and I would definitely recommend this family run hotel. Its location is on a quiet road, very near to the waterfront and numerous restaurants/bars/shops of Garda. The hotel owners were so helpful and chatty to their guests. We had an early flight back and we were provided with a lovely bag of sandwiches, cakes, fruit and drinks to take with us when we left. All that we needed in our lovely room was provided by the hotel and the standard of cleanliness was high. It was nice to cool off in the swimming pool after a day of sightseeing, particularly as we had a heatwave throughout our stay. Breakfast was provided at a convenient time and the food was varied and freshly prepared. All in all, a very good choice for accommodation.

A getaway from the city.
We decided to leave in 48 hours, and this hotel was our salvation. Slightly outside the center, in a quiet location and especially pet-friendly.
At check-in, they informed us that they had given us an upgrade since we had the dog, and the room, what can I say... it was huge!
Additionally, they provided a pillow, bowls, and treats for my pet.
The pool is small but very well maintained.
A round of applause to the girl who went up and down to bring drinks and food that you could easily order while lying down via QR code.
What can I say, we will return.

Grazie mille per la splendida recensione! Siamo felici di essere stati la vostra salvezza per una fuga last minute. È un piacere sapere che l’upgrade, la camera spaziosa e gli accorgimenti per il vostro cane (cuscino, ciotole e biscotti) vi abbiano fatto sentire a casa.
Felici che la piscina e il servizio (tramite QR) siano stati di vostro gradimento — passeremo l’applauso alla ragazza che si è presa cura di voi. Vi aspettiamo presto di nuovo a Villa Anthea!
