Great location 2 steps from Piazza Corvetto

Great location 2 steps from Piazza Corvetto, easy to reach even on foot from Brignole station. A short walk will take you to Piazza De Ferrari and the Caruggi. The rooms are located on the sixth floor of a historic building, reached through 2 doors that can be opened by code provided at check-in. The latter very easy and intuitive. The rooms are not very large, but still enough for a family. the bathroom is small but very nice. The room overall was clean. Very nice terrace in the common area, minus that of the room overlooking the inner cloister. Price a bit high, but I traveled at the same time as the boat show and probably the high demand made everyone put up their prices. Overall an average structure.

Nice room but improvements needed

We stayed here for three nights in room 005.
A sign outside wouldn’t go a miss, as it’s above a “British School” and the number isn’t very obvious. The rooms are located on the 6th floor, luckily there’s a lift so the stairs are optional.
Upon checking in we were sent codes for the doors. I was a little concerned because the code was the same for the main door and our room, and there were no keys for added security.
The room itself was nice, however the first thing we noticed was a bad smell originating from the bathroom. We could not pinpoint the exact source of the smell, however it was a mouldy/egg type smell that was probably from drainage of some sort. We had to leave the windows open everyday whilst out so that the room didn’t smell when we got back.
The bathroom was clean, but the shower heads had a build up on limescale so they didn’t work great.
The room was small but felt larger because of the lovely high ceilings. The tv was great and had Netflix. We also had a little coffee machine for espresso shots which was nice. There was no dressing table area or mirror in the main room which would of been nice.
There is double doors that open up and shutters on the outside. The shutters open fully, with just a small metal gate stopping you from falling out of a six story window!! I convinced myself that I would sleep walk, open the doors and fall out, so I had to place chairs, suitcases and other items in front of the doors to stop me/alert my partner should I sleep walk.. not ideal!
I probably wouldn’t stay here again if I return to the city.
