Extraordinary experience in the heart of Genoa!
Dream stay!
A few months ago my girlfriend and I spent 3 nights in the penthouse suite of the Ducal Tower.
In addition to the spectacular 360° view over the whole of Genoa, offered by the 8 large windows, every glimpse on each side will frame breathtaking architectural details, which you will feel you can touch (I attach a couple of photos that I hope make the beautiful view of the bell tower just outside the window at the side of the bed).
Already from the reception the owner was very kind and extremely helpful, offering us directions, meeting us with check in and check out times (unique experience!) and making us find the room well heated both through the radiators and through the splits.
The kitchenette is equipped with all amenities (coffee machine with coffee, fridge and freezer, detergents, dishes). There were also several pillows and blankets available. The penthouse is also equipped with a small terrace, suitable for smokers. The space is well furnished and equipped with TV. The bathroom is also clean and equipped with everything you need (hair dryer, soaps etc).
Cleanliness is impeccable.
I mention this aspect because carpets are not easy and my girlfriend, being asthmatic, unfortunately would have reacted even to a little dust, which has never happened!
The owner made herself available for any eventuality at all times, insisting that we do not hesitate to contact her.
The location of the suite is enviable not only for its panoramic nature but also for its strategic location!
Just behind Piazza delle Erbe also overlooks Piazza San Lorenzo, with all the points of interest and amenities at your fingertips. I who love the historic center of Genoa had to do nothing but walk maximum 10 minutes to reach every place of interest. In any case, the area is well connected if you want to move by public transport. In short, absolutely perfect stay, also thanks to the courtesy, kindness and helpfulness of an owner like Ms Eliana. We already assume to return to the Ducal Tower for the next stay in Genoa.

RUINED HOLIDAY
Stayed two days at Torre Ducale via di Porta Soprana 5 Genoa, in couple, I booked from 8/6/25 to 10/06/25 on the advice of those who manage the houses to take the room on the top floor because it was larger and had more windows to admire Genoa from alto.La structure had many critical issues that ruined me in part my holiday starting from the dust that was very present in all parts of the room and then more serious we ended up with several unsolicited animals ants, mosquitoes and spiders.Just the latter bit me during the night with serious consequences that I still have.I paid for two nights 340.00 € that I personally do not find consistent with the type of residence.Following this experience I do not recommend going there.

Sono spiacente per essere venuta a conoscenza solo attraverso la sua recensione, dei disagi che ha descritto.
Sono spiaciuta dell’accaduto e se lei avesse segnalato i problemi che stava riscontrando, l’avremmo messa nella condizione
di godere pienamente di un soggiorno all’altezza della nostra struttura.
La sua recensione molto negativa mi ha colto di sorpresa perché, quando le ho fatto il check-in personalmente e in presenza,
la sua reazione alla stanza è stata molto positiva.
Le avevo detto inoltre, come uso fare sempre con tutti i nostri graditissimi ospiti, che per qualsiasi necessità o problema,
è garantita dalla mia reperibilità H 24 e mi chiedo PERCHE’ non lo abbia fatto , perché non si sia fatto vivo: saremmo intervenuti
immediatamente.
In merito alla foto che ha pubblicato rimango molto scettica…
Inoltre non capisco come sia possibile che, al momento del check out e chiedo sempre il feedback del soggiorno a tutti, mi abbia
ulteriormente ribadito di quanto fosse rimasto soddisfatto per poi scrivere e descrivere nella
Sua recensione, dei suoi disagi causati da zanzare, formiche, ragni killer, polvere .
Comunque siamo spiacenti in generale e lo siamo anche di piu’ perché, alla lista delle nostre “manchevolezze”, sarebbe stato
equo contrapporre quella dei nostri pregi quali la posizione e la magnificenza del palazzo e la straordinarietà dei panorami
che si godono dalle nostre finestre , lista che avrebbe reso più chiaro il contesto ed equa la sua valutazione

Wonderful bespoke accomodation in a tower above a 17th cen Palazzo overlooking the Piazza Ducale
I enjoyed a wonderful holiday based at the Torre Ducale dimora storica - a combination of both the exceptional accommodation and the wonderful hospitality exhibited by Signora Maria Eliana. As an Architect, I found the attention to design detail exceptional in the tower (very generously proportioned rooms with hand-cast tiled bathrooms, hand-welded metal fabricated details, and superior fittings throughout) with its three 19th cen. storeys above the original 17th-century Palazzo directly facing onto the Piazza Ducale in the epicentre of the Centro Storico. The views from the windows opening up onto the piazza were therefore spectacular, with great views also across the harbour. A grand marble staircase leads up to the tower from the ground floor atrium (it is also served by an elevator with its external steel mezzanine) From there, the 3 storeyed tower begins its ascent, with a hand crafted metal staircase rising up to the rooms. Throughout, there was a loving attention to detail. Signora Maria Eliana, an artist specializing in Ligurian glass casting, was a wonderful hostess, very generous with her time, extremely helpful in providing information about Genoa, and going out of her way to make my stay such a memorable one.

Very nice apartment, with Italian art experience, and very nice and proud owner
We had 2 nights in this apartment. The owner delivered the key on time after a phone call (the day before). There were more apps. / floors at this address (elevator and beautiful stairs). The top floor had a beautiful view, but was occupied. We had the 3rd floor, a beautiful app. By owner (glass and ceramic artist, homemade tiles, mosaic, bathroom/living room/kitchen unit). Exceptionally beautiful.
