Short (steep) walk to many ferry connections/restaurants
Super nice and helpful hostess!
We got extremely many useful tips for excursions, ferry connections, restaurants and shopping!
We had the small apartment with kitchen. Everything was available, although somewhat outdated (fridge hardly cools, freezer works well on the other hand).
There is no air conditioning, but that is no problem if you stick to the tips of the hosts (tags keep the doors closed). At night it cools down sufficiently!
Internet/WiFi poor reception, on terrace no reception.

So not suitable for mobile work!

Perfect accommodation
We stayed 1 week at Casa Pini and we loved it. The host was very friendly, helpful and spoke well English. There were a few pets of the house, they were very pleasant to have around. The accommodation was clean, fully furnished, daily cleaned, new towels and a quiet environment. The location is also perfect. A 5’ walk to a local grocery, 10’ walk to the center of Griante and the ferry.

Private and quiet setting close to Ferries
We reserved two adjacent rooms - one with a little kitchenette the other just to sleep. The rooms are in a quiet gated garden setting, parking is on the street. The rooms were clean and amenities were adequate. Over all a decent, inexpensive place to stay from which to explore Lake Como from using the ferry (check for seasonal changes in frequency) but be prepared for a steep hike from the main road. The advertised internet was excruciating slow or non existent.

A hidden gem
We could not recommend this B&B highly enough. The location in Griante was perfect for exploring the lake, and at only a 20 minute stroll along the lake from Tremezzo, guests have their pick of numerous quality bars and restaurants. The facilities were excellent, the room well cared for and maintained, and the outdoor space a wonderful boon during the hot summer months. There is a ferry port in Cadenabbia (10 minutes downhill), along with a popular lido and a small, well-stocked supermarket. The standout feature of this accommodation however is without doubt Michela, the owner. Guide books in several languages can be found in the room, along with a carefully constructed folder containing maps, timetables and pamphlets on villages and tourist destinations around the lake in English, Italian, French and German. Michela herself was also generous with her time and advice, and clearly takes great pleasure in her work. The care and attention to detail put into this accommodation by Michela results in a wonderfully relaxing environment, and I would gladly stay at Casa Pini on every visit I make to Lake Como in future.

Great for a young family
We are a family with two youngs boys (5 years old and 8 years old). We stayed for 4 days and found Casa Pini lovely. It was clean, one big room (divided in half by a half wall) with a bathroom with shower. It had a microwave, kettle, small fridge, kitchen table with dishes and cutlery. There was one big bed and a sofa which opened into a bed. There was also an extra single bed in the room which we did not use. The bed was comfortable, the sofa bed not as much. As others have mentioned there was no breakfast and no internet. However, we went to a supermarket in Menagio (10 min drive) (we had rented a car) and bought breakfast and lunch items to eat in the room. Mikaela the owner was wonderful, spoke perfect English and cleaned up the dishes we used each day, cleaned the place and made the beds. The place was perfect for our kids. Our door opened onto the outside and the kids ran around in the yard and played safely as it was fenced in. 100 meters up the road was a park for our kids. 400 m away was a small supermarket. It is a great location - walking distance to the ferry to Bellagio and driving distance to go up or down the lake. 45-60 min walk/hike (60 minutes for our youngest) to the church on the side of the mountain where there is a beautiful view of the lake. 3-4 days is a good amount of time. There was a slight bit of an odour in the room from the air freshener but certainly not enough to cause any issues for us. This place worked perfectly for us as a family with all of us in one room and lots of freedom for our children to run around.
