A Beautiful Modern Hotel in the Heart of the Dolomites

We had a wonderful stay at Schgaguler Hotel. I booked a Garden Room, which was absolutely lovely — modern, beautifully designed, and much more spacious than I expected. The room opened onto a deck with stunning views of the Dolomites, creating the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the scenery.
The hotel is located right in the centre of Castelrotto (Kastelruth), a charming and beautiful village that was a fantastic base for exploring the Dolomites by car. I had considered staying in a larger, more tourist-focused location, but I’m so glad we chose Castelrotto. It offered a more authentic experience, with fewer crowds while still being very convenient for sightseeing.
The shared deck outside the garden rooms is worth noting, as privacy can be limited, although the privacy screens do help.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with a lovely restaurant where we enjoyed dinner one evening, and the pool and spa area were wonderful places to relax after a day exploring.
Overall, Schgaguler Hotel was a highlight of our Dolomites stay — stylish, comfortable, and perfectly located. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful base in this incredible region.

Stunning

This is 1 of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The views are breathtaking and the check in was so efficient and friendly. We received free valet parking and an amazing welcome drink and snack. The only thing to know is check out is about 8 a.m. so if you plan on leaving early to hike, dont stay here. I was disappointed in that. I had no idea and have never stayed anywhere I couldn't check out by 6.

Simply superb!

Our family spent 4 nights in this modern hotel and it has been a superb experience.
- fast and efficient check-in
- modern and tastfuly designed Family room with mountain views
- delicious 4 course dinner’s menu, great wine selection
- attentive service (should I name two people who stood out then it would be Sandra and Amine - truly exceptional and very pleasant people to talk to)
- nice wellness area
- close to many hike and biking trails
Schgaguler Hotel is a fabulous place, one of the best we have ever been to, strongly recommended!!!

The best hotel you can ask for.

Everything was brushed, amazing service, food at the level of the Michelin restaurant, everyone's nice and explanatory, all the waiters were stunning, not all the names I remember, you're especially trustworthy and Sandra. Receptionist Seymour was especially gentle and kind.
