Lovely hotel but the poor aircon made the rooms too hot to sleep well
Hotel was lovely, we booked a lovely suite as a base to explore southern Puglea.
The pool are was nice with lots of sunbeds and the staff at the pool bar were friendly. The reception/restaurant team went above and beyond by organising a cold meal for us on arrival of our first night as we arrived at 10pm but the restaurant closed at 930pm. We'd called ahead to notify them so i dont think this is standard practice but they'd set up a table for us in the restaurant with salad and cold meats.
The only thing that spoilt the stay was the aircon in the bedroom. The Suites are clean, modern with 2 furnished terraces overlooking the pool. The aircon in the lounge area was cool but the bedroom was stuck around 24/25 degrees during a heat wave. We asked reception 3 days on the run to get someone to look at it. Sadly the issue was never resolved and the room was far too hot to sleep comfortably.

Excellent stay
We recommend this hotel where the staff is truly very pleasant. The excursions are daily and interesting. Possibility to rent a car. The region is magnificent

Nice hotel but not as described and poor service
Positives: Nice rooms, nice pool and pool area and the food was good. Also Marianne (concierge lady) was amazing!! So helpful and went above and beyond what she is expected to do. Thank you!!
Negatives: The hotel has lied on their website about having a private beach 1km away with sunbeds and beach bar. These were removed a few months ago but the website and information leaflet upon check in still states that it is there. Instead you have to get on a shuttle bus for 5km to another beach! Not ideal at all and not the reason we booked this hotel. This is false advertisement and we are very disappointed about this. For the sake of future guests please update your website and information! I have attached photos of what the private beach actually looks like.
Also, the hotel has lied about having a fully refurbished gym. We booked this hotel based on the private beach and gym but the gym literally has 2 treadmills and a bike and a few plates! No dumbbells or any weight training equipment. You cannot call this a gym. Again, false advertisement!!
The service in the restaurant was poor. Often ignored when needing a drink, staff did not clear plates away fast enough and did not re-set tables at breakfast. The queues at the buffet were very long. Also, hard to find a table as most were reserved for suite or VOI + guests or big groups.
Finally, the room cleaning service was poor. Many days they did not give us toilet paper, provide the bottles of water like they are supposed to do or clean the mugs and cups. They also did not change the bedding once in the 10 days we were there.

Fantastic stay
We have had a wonderful stay here at the Voi Daniella. The hotel is situated in a lovely peaceful spot surrounded by nature, with a short walk to the beach (or regular dotto train) to the right or to some beautiful views to the left. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious, beds comfortable, cleaned every day. Honestly I cannot fault our experience for the price we paid. We'd booked as a Base to explore this area of Puglia with our rental car, but came to look forward to getting back to sit by the pool for the afternoon and have dinner here in the evenings.
