The rooftop pool is the antidote to the Italian heatwave!
There are many good things about this new hotel, the Staff, the food and the location. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning and rooftop pool were a much appreciated relief from the July heat! Our room was clean and on a quieter side of the hotel, decorated in a modern style which, unfortnately included copious mirrors in a range of colours, without use and creating a very dark room. The Staff were effecient however I did mention that this holiday was a very special holiday to celebrate my friend's recent retirement from 33 teaching and whilst other hotels have recognised this in different ways, nó mention was made by the Staff at Calimala which I feel was an opportunity missed.
That said the location is great and we would stay here again.

Perfect hotel.
Excellent hotel in a perfect location with plenty of bars and restaurants. Cleanliness and service at a very high level. Excellent hotel restaurant and Israeli chef:). Excellent rooms and luxury for lovers of Italian and fashionable boutique hotels.

Good hotel but noisy
Good hotel in a good location. We stayed 3 nights in a so-called Panoramic Suite for 4 (pull out sofa for the kids). Check in experience was great. The hotel itself is good - we don’t know if we just got a not-so-good room. It was tight, although beautifully appointed. Really noisy (people out on the street) every night. The sofa bed was uncomfortable for the kids. Pool was nice but the pool side service totally unresponsive. Couldn’t work out why the closed the pool at 7pm every night (the whole pool area had to be cleared out). Probably wouldn’t recommend, sorry.

Refreshing, stylish and very friendly
Excellent hotel. From the moment we checked in staff were friendly, attentive and exuded warmth and kindness. The reception area is welcoming and the process of check in , very efficient. The room was well proportioned, spotlessly clean and stylish. Plenty of wardrobe space. Comfortable bed and very comfortable pillows.
