Hotel Lugano nalazi se odmah pored metro i željezničke stanice Lambrate, a od Politehničkog sveučilišta ima samo 10 minuta hoda. Sobe nude besplatni Wi-Fi i TV ravnog ekrana. Recepcija je otvorena 24 sata dnevno.

Room 419 has a very enjoyable terrace
A good three stars, rather cramped room and that deserves a renovation, but comfortable bed. Very warm room, even too , and quiet. The inconvenience of the reception at the hotel Vienna which is opposite. Room 419, however, ours has the advantage of a large terrace enjoyable especially in the evening

Acceptable for the price
I stayed at Hotel Lugano (Milan, Lambrate area) for two nights, spending 90 euros in total. Important premise: in Milan, in an area well connected and close to the station, it is not a high figure. And in fact, the choice, in my case, was above all functional: I had to easily reach the San Raffaele University (Milan 2), and from here it is very convenient to move with M2 + 925, or even with the only 925 from Piazza Udine (with a short walk). In short: as a logistics base, it does its own and is very convenient if you have to take a train or move to / from the station.
That said, the structure gives an overall “makeshift solution” impression. The reception is in another hotel opposite (hotel Vienna), and the room (in my case a single) was very small, not very airy, with a bed against the wall that makes movement a bit uncomfortable, although it was still quite comfortable ..
The real issue, however, is the bathroom. I am not referring to the lack of bidet (which is very normal outside Italy), but to the really narrow dimensions, at the limit of practicability: the mini-sink is so close and partly overlapped with the toilet that sitting becomes uncomfortable because it physically bumps. Even the shower is tiny: going out you risk scratching your belly with the door, especially if you are a bit overweight. In addition, the knobs were without hot/cold indications and there was no shelf to place shampoo or shower gel: you can manage, but it is a detail that communicates little attention. It must be said, however, that the shower worked well, the water came out regularly and arrived at the right temperature. That's a positive note, but it's not enough to make up for the rest.
In conclusion: Hotel Lugano is a choice that can make sense if, as in my case (and as I had also happened in a similar experience in Bari, where I chose a budget hotel to be close to the University), location and connections are preferred over comfort. If you are looking for a minimum of space, comfort and care, you should consider something more and choose other solutions.

Without infamy but also without praise!
Hotels near Lambrate Station. Comfortable structure, quite quiet and - all in all - cheap!
It's a three star hotel but I've seen better hotels at two or even one; anyway I would stay there again.
Suitable for those who do not have excessive pretensions and settle for a small room even with a spacious bathroom. Very clean!

Hotel located a few minutes from the metro stop (M2). The assigned room (booked several months before) was small in size with bed all in all comfortable. The bathroom .. too small (especially shower) and with furniture a bit 'dated. Discreet cleaning and very friendly staff.

NEGATIVE experience
The only positive note for this property is the proximity to the Lambrate metro, after all, unfortunately there is no worse term than terrible.
Bad cleaning with lots of cobwebs, bathroom without any minimum comfort, impractical bidet, lack of hairdryer, walls without soundproofing practically you can hear the other occupants when they are in the bathroom. All supported by the lack of foresight of the one who welcomed us, both on arrival and departure, not even asking how the stay had gone, as if he already knew the answer...

Un nick name rende anonimi, quindi non abbiamo la più pallida idea di chi voi siate e se effettivamente avete dormito da noi.
Diamo sempre per scontato che il servizio fornito sia sufficiente e quindi, al contrario, non siamo noi a dover chiedere ma voi (il cliente) a fare rimostranze e farci notare (anche da subito) eventuali difetti, invece di far passare giorni e poi 'nascondersi' dietro recensioni appunto anonime a quel punto. O almeno firmarsi e farsi riconsocere, cosi da capire quando è avvenuto il soggiorno, quale camera è stata occupata, chi aveva effettuato pulizie quel gg (cosi da far notare sbagli anche ai camerieri stessi..) etc..
"Terribile" quindi è questo atteggiamemto da critici di scarso rango, non la struttura che gestiamo.
Strano che T.A.però non rispecchi le centinaia di recensioni, migliori, lasciate su altri portali , quindi è del tutto fuorviante e raccoglie solo frustrati, nel nostro caso. Perchè su portali maggiori e seri possiamo vedere numero di prenotazione, nomi e quant'altro... allora meglio scrivere qui, accusare o parlare male senza farsi riconoscere , vero? :-)
