Nice location, but the rest leaves something to be desired
The food is discreet, nothing memorable but acceptable. Menus printed on a simple sheet are poorly cared for and spoil the overall impression. The Service, unfortunately, was really disappointing: the dishes were placed randomly on the table, without attention to each diner’s place, we received the dishes without cutlery, and the request for the wine list was answered “later, calmly”, without any professionalism.
Fortunately, the bill is not excessive, but the feeling of a wasted opportunity remains: with such a beautiful location, it would take very little to offer a much better experience.

An ancient building renovated in 80s style
Having a restaurant table as a desk and a very uncomfortable chair as a work chair in my room is not what I expect when I have to stay for a night or two; also the Wifi didn't work!
Point two: why in Italy do some hotels use duvets as if we were on the Stelvio pass? Why don't we use a sheet, a cloth and a cover like in all Italian homes? I had to remove the duvet and sleep as best I could with the bag that contained it.
Very modest breakfast and without cold cuts, cheeses and eggs. There is a lot of room for improvement.
Instead, the outdoor garden and the silence at night should be rewarded

Something different
The buildings interior is classical, but it has been nicely renovated.
Rooms are large and clean, interior a bit dated.
The dining room very large with classical high ceilings. Very nice gardens surround the hotel which together with the large dining room makes it a nice location for a wedding party.
The hotel is close to a busy road but the rooms are fairly sound proof, so it is not a problem.
Breakfast choice is not very extensive, but consist of good fresh local products and fruits.
If you prefer modern chain hotels with no surprises and standard outfit, it is not for you. If something charming is appealing, consider this hotel.
There is free internet, and there is airconditioning in the room.
