Getaway to Montalcino!!

....and unfortunately our quick getaway in Val d'Orcia ends tomorrow...but...2 days that are worth a week...the hotel is welcoming, the staff, in particular Sara, is super kind and friendly, we truly relaxed in 2 days that I still cannot believe it!! We ate very well, used the hotel pool, and the room was clean and perfect for 2.
I highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely return as soon as we need to unplug!!

Very friendly reception; we stayed in the "Mimosa" room, overlooking the breakfast terrace and the vineyards.

The view of the sea and the pools from the room were very calming. Unfortunately, we could not use the terrace due to the weather, but the small and fine breakfast buffet was also enjoyable inside the house. The parking lot right next door has a steep narrow exit where cars are also parked on the side (by locals?), while the hotel parking lot is located at the back, separated by a barrier with a code. The price-performance ratio is very good; we would stay here again.

We are delighted that you appreciated the warm welcome, the Mimosa room with its view over the vineyards, and our buffet breakfast. We are sorry that the bad weather did not allow you to enjoy the terrace, but we are pleased to know that you still had a pleasant breakfast indoors.
Thank you also for sharing your observations regarding the parking. Our private parking is indeed located at the back of the property and is accessible through a barrier with a code reserved for our guests; however, the access road has public parking, and unfortunately, cars are often parked in a rather disorderly manner.
It will be a true pleasure to welcome you again in Montalcino.

What a week enjoying Tuscany's beauty and nature!
This Montalcino location is just within the medieval walls, perfect for both the short walk up to the shops, cafes, and restaurants, yet it was very easy to park on-site and head out on daytrips. Aleesa and Sara were amazing hostesses with a friendliness that made us feel like Montalcino family. They really have created a welcoming guest experience in a beautiful setting.
Besides getting to know our Montalcino village every day, we also took several daytrips driving around the surrounding Val D'Orcia countryside, which is stunning. Pienza, Terme San Filippi (The White Whale), the monestary, and Montepulciano were favorites. Yet we kept commenting how nice it was to come home to enjoy afternoon wine enjoying our cozy hotel view.
Thank you, Hotel Vecchia Oliviera team... we are coming back for sure!

Truly a discovery ....

Characteristic hotel at the entrance of the village of Montalcino very nice attention to detail .. impeccable cleanliness and excellent breakfast .. hardly is it located in a 3 or 4 star hotel a fresh fruit salad in the morning ... very welcome!! The flagship of this structure is the friendliness and kindness almost disarming of Mrs. Elisa owner and Miss Sara .. make you breathe the air of home x how hospitable they are .. thank you x made us live three lovely days surely we will return .. highly recommend
