Room was great. Very modern and clean, although hot water wasn't always available. Close to the metro (less than 5 minutes walk), there's a nice grocery store around the corner, and it was very easy to access the sights we wanted to see in Naples.

HORRIBLE

If you are looking for a hotel where you won't sleep, the Golden Hotel is for you. Out of the three nights booked, we only spent one sleeping.
The air conditioning was broken, and we were in the middle of a heatwave. No solution was found: although the night guard did his best, nothing worked. When we asked the receptionist for help, she answered us with contempt, claiming that the air conditioning was working perfectly and that the problem was us, who supposedly didn't know how to press the button...
Impossible to reach a manager, impossible to get a solution, impossible to get any kind of commercial gesture.
I will never set foot in this establishment again.
I think I would have slept better under a Neapolitan bridge than in this hotel.
Avoid at all costs.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

A horrible experience!! We booked 3 nights there and we were only able to sleep "properly" the first night. The other two nights the air conditioning was literally non-existent. In the middle of a heatwave, the room turned into an oven!! We called the night receptionist the first time at 4 a.m. who did his best but who could not find a lasting solution despite his efforts. In the morning we are informed that the problem is resolved but evening arrives and the same problem is present: still no air conditioning and impossible to get a wink of sleep because it was atrociously hot. Two days without sleeping!
In the morning, we talk about the problem to the daytime receptionist, as contemptuous as possible, who replies that there is no AC problem on their end and that we probably pressed the wrong button! Scandalous! She also refused to put us in touch with the hotel manager and categorically refused to compensate us in any way whatsoever, under the pretext that we booked with Hotiday (but the AC belongs to them, right? And they work in collaboration with Hotiday it seems to me!).
A DISGRACE !!! We were reduced to waiting in the hotel hallway at 6 a.m. so as not to suffocate in the room anymore!

Simple yet comfortable.

Central hotel, convenient. Simple yet comfortable. Mattress is fine. Staff is helpful. A bit of noise; I couldn't tell if it was from drains or showers in other rooms.

Cute, but too bad about one thing

Nice, simple and modern hotel. Comfortable rooms, very comfortable mattress, large tv and large wardrobe. Too bad in only one respect: the smell of sewer that occasionally came out of the bathroom. For everything else, good experience.
