Charming Historic hotel with modern amenities, updated bathrooms. Great buffet breakfast included. Very helpful multi-lingual staff, whether giving advice or directions, selling mini-metro transit passes, or storing luggage. Excellent central location within the old walls, near to major piazzas, historic sites, museums, cafes & restaurants. Easy to access hotel from bus station via moving stairs (escalator), near to mini-metro line to get to/from main train station. A great summer stay in a great Umbrian city!

In regards to the actual location of the hotel, it was excellent. However, there were some issues regarding the room location in the hotel itself. We had several heavy bags and my parents who are elderly, had to go upstairs, after leaving the elevator, and we had lift these heavy suitcases to get to their room. It would’ve been beneficial to know about this prior to booking these specific rooms as we probably could’ve made arrangements to have something more accessible.

We enjoyed our two day stay very much. Location is excellent but a tip we took a big taxi and it couldn’t fit the narrow lanes to the door. It dropped us in the min square and we had a walk. On leaving the hotel front desk staff ordered a regular taxi that came to the door. Thank you. Yes the roads are very narrow!
The building is very old and the lift doesn’t directly access all rooms so if you have mobility issues advise the hotel in advance.
The room was great. Bed comfortable and wonderfully quiet. There were a few stairs but we were fine.
Breakfast is good but not excellent. Normal for Italy. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Breakfast staff less so.
It was good value but I might look elsewhere next time - as we get older!
Last tip the gelateria Carloni 1989 - just a few steps away possibly the best ever.

Unique atmosphere in the heart of Perugia

I returned to this hotel after so many years. The atmosphere remained intact. A structure of 1300 held in respect of its historical and artistic importance.
Qualified and friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. Impeccable service. Very good breakfast.
It is located in the center of Perugia and this makes it an amazing location for those who want to visit the city.
