Very cute, welcoming, and clean hotel with nice interior spaces and all the comforts, very, very kind staff, an excellent spot to stop and spend a nice vacation.

Neat hotel
The triple room we had (room no. 201) was sufficiently spacious. The double rooms are on the small side. Especially if you carry a lot of luggage. We would like to store our suitcases open on the floor. Everything is cleaned spick and span. Our bathroom was nice and spacious with also a spacious shower cabin. Breakfast is also neatly catered for. There is plenty of choice for both the savoury and the sweet eater. Everything is neatly refilled until the end (09:30).
Behind the hotel is a spacious free parking space.
The hotel is located in the small town of Porcari. It has a good location not far from the highway. Nearby is also a small station. The train puts you in a curse and a sigh in Lucca.
During our stay, most of the guests at the hotel were people who travel professionally. In Porcari there are a few restaurants. Also next to the hotel is a fine restaurant. The food was very good, but it does cost something.

Hotel accepted my credit card, promised confirmation, then refused my booking — very unprofessional
I had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience with Hotel Plazza.
On the phone, Giada from reception confirmed that a room was available for the period 24–29 September. Based on this assurance, I immediately provided my credit card details as a guarantee, trusting that the reservation was secure.
Shortly afterwards, I even received a WhatsApp message from the hotel, thanking me for the card details and promising that an official email confirmation would follow. This, combined with the phone confirmation, gave me every reason to believe my booking was valid and guaranteed.
However, after waiting for more than five hours, instead of receiving the promised confirmation, I received an email from Matteo saying that the hotel was “fully booked” on 25 September and that my booking could not be accepted. When I questioned this, the hotel then claimed that “only the email counts as confirmation,” dismissing both the phone and WhatsApp confirmations as meaningless.
This is unacceptable. A hotel cannot request and accept credit card details, send a written acknowledgment via WhatsApp, and then deny the booking hours later. Such behavior is misleading, unreliable, and unprofessional.
I strongly advise future travelers to be very cautious when dealing with this hotel, as my experience shows they do not handle reservations transparently or responsibly.

Rude director
The facility may try to maintain a certain standard, but it's all for nothing with a director like this. An attitude that to call rude and arrogant is an understatement. In years of travel I had never come across such a presumptuous, indisposing and totally unsuitable figure for contact with the public.
Instead of listening to customers, turn it up a notch, interrupt and speak with a misplaced assumption. Zero management skills, zero empathy, zero respect.
The staff tries to save the salvageable, but with a guide like this, all effort is in vain.
The real weakness of this hotel has a name and a role: the manager. As long as he stays, I strongly advise against anyone staying here.

Difficile non essere scortesi con una persona che a causa dei suoi comportamenti, mi sono trovato costretto a buttare fuori dal nostro hotel.
Non e possibile parlare con certe persone. Devo garantire il rispetto delle regole ma soprattutto la sicurezza di tutti gli altri clienti che soggiornano.

IN THE LACK OF ANYTHING ELSE......
Average hotel, good three-star hotel, quite welcoming. Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was sufficient (very basic). Spread over several levels and three buildings, it is close to Porcari station (but you can't hear the trains)
