Flavours, wine and trips

Alberto and Francesca are two great hosts and two wonderful friends. Location in the countryside, well positioned to shoot wineries, breweries and all of Friuli.
Sauna for those who want it.
Two nice and polite dogs are waiting for the lucky patrons.
You just have to try...

experience not positive

Unfortunately our experience was not positive. The owners made us feel at home... They... Few smiles and almost intrusive presence.
Good breakfast, but beware of the check-out set at 9:00: a delay of only 10 minutes, traveling with a newborn, was immediately pointed out by the owner, who on the phone, in front of us, with the cleaning lady even apologized with a "bring patience understood..." And no further comment.
I also do not recommend asking for the electric car to be charged: at check-out we were asked for an extra charge for electricity from a 2kw socket, calculated at a price per kWh higher than the fast columns. According to the phantom "program" of the home photovoltaic we had consumed 36kw = 20 €. Double-checking later on app, the real kWh was about 20. Actually the error was born from the fact that the host estimated the consumption "spying" on the percentage of charging on the arrival and departure on the screen of my car... too bad that I considered a car model with a battery more capacious than mine (then I understood why he asked me for confirmation on the mod.)... which we understood only later (in fact it is a bit 'difficult to charge 36kw after not even 10 hours of socket at 220v).. at the time we had trusted...
With more transparency and a few more smiles the experience would have been much better.

Well what an absolute pleasure it was to stay here not only were we treated like friends I think myself and Alberto who with his wife own this beautiful house actually became just that friends. We were on our motorcycle tour of 6 weeks when I booked the nights stay here on our way from Lake Como to Ljubljana in Slovenia. My wife who is vegitarien was sourcing out a place to eat locally to Alberto's house and we found a restaurant about 5 km away. I had been having a problem with my knee and was struggling to walk far and I asked Alberto if we could get a taxi to which he said no but I will run you there and pick you up latter. Nothing was to much trouble for him he is a really nice guy same age as myself and we soon found we had lots of things in common. İf we had not been booked in at our next hotel I would have liked to have stayed and spent more time talking to Alberto. İf we are in Italy again I'm going to go and drop in and visit him he's such a great host and an all round nice friend.
