The boys of Pantelleria

Wonderful farmhouse, very attention to detail with large rooms, elegant!
The cleanliness is excellent, in addition to the scent that surrounds you every time you walk through the access door!
Also the exterior is very nice and quiet, the owner very nice and helpful to meet any request.
I absolutely recommend staying here!

Relaxing holiday

Old renovated farmhouse a short distance from Ragusa and Donnafugata Castle, large, comfortable, clean and above all cool and soundproofed rooms. The Owners very kind welcoming and helpful and considerate.
Equipped with swimming pool and large garden, ideal place to relax and at the same time visit Ragusa to recommend and return......

Characteristic location just a few minutes from Ragusa

The location of Casale 1821 is beautiful and just a few minutes from Ragusa and the Donnafugata castle. The rooms are clean and comfortable; the staff very friendly and helpful. The organization used is comfortable and functional for those who want to wander around the surrounding area. Equipped with internal parking.

Fantastic Stay

We were a party of five staying at this location for three nights. First off the location is ideal for those wishing to explore both the Ragusa area and the villages of Scicli, Modica and Vittoria. Furthermore the sea is just a short drive away. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable however what is truly impressive is the level of cleanliness - a big well done to the staff who handles this.
The outdoor area, including the pool are also impeccably clean and the pool is large.
Breakfast is good, maybe not the largest of selections but everything fresh and tasty. In particular the fresh fruit and nuts.
The wifi is also good and there is a strong connection in every room.
Finally its also worth pointing out that there is a large parking area which is closed off - hence if you have a car with you this gives you the necessary peace of mind.
Will definitely be returning.

pretty house - noisy parties

The place is pretty but not suitable for a quiet vacation. We were six people in three rooms. We stayed there for three nights. We never met the owner, and no one we met could speak English. The house is located on a busy road with traffic that makes it unpleasant to sit outside by the pool. It feels like sitting in a parking lot. On Friday night the patio outside our rooms was rented for a birthday party of an 18 years old girl. They installed huge loudspeakers and a DJ played extremely loud music. The loud music went on from 9:30 PM, accompanied by fireworks close to midnight, until close to 1 AM. The next morning the owner wrote to me a Whatsapp message explaining that “the music was lowered at 12.30 well below the municipal regulations fixing that cut-off time at 2 am “. The owner thinks it is right to have a party outside your room because it may be legal according to municipal regulations. So if you come here you must be prepared to share your night with a teenage party. My suggestion: AVOID!

Premessa:
Casale 1821 e' un mini resort, dove e' possibile soggiornare impegnando o solo alcune camere oppure affittare tutta la villa per intero per gruppi numerosi che la vogliono riservata integralmente.
I "signori" israeliani che hanno soggiornato presso il casale dal 7 al 9 settembre, al momento della prenotazione, hanno riservato solo 3 camere delle 6 disponibili; dunque non riservata per intero, anche se e' possibile farlo, per chi vuole o meglio pretende che l' intera struttura dev'essere a proprio uso e servizio ( ipotesi esclusa dai suddetti "signori" perche' sarebbero andati fuori buget).
Sin dall'arrivo, hanno subito mostrato un atteggiamento " colonizzante" degli spazi comuni, nonostante all' interno vi soggiornavano altri ospiti che avevano eguale diritto (cucina e sala da pranzo solo per loro).
Venendo ora al motivo della festa voglio mettere in chiaro che si e' svolto un party sobrio e affatto rumoroso o fastidioso, tanto e' vero che perfino i figli dei " signori" furono invitati a prenderne parte da ragazze invitate alla festa; intorno alle 10 pm,pero' vennero costretti a rientrare nelle loro stanze dai propri genitori ( per timore forse che si contaminassero), umiliandoli davanti a tutti.
Di questa scena ne sono tutti testimoni.
Per non dire che nessuno degli altri ospiti che soggiornarono quella sera ha lamentato alcun fastidio o rumore derivante dalla musica, dal momento che tutte le camere sono estremamente insonorizzate da infissi ad alta efficenza acustica e termica.
In poche parole i "signori" pretendevano di avere il casale riservato tutto per loro pagando meno della meta' del prezzo che solitamente si deve corrispondere per avere la villa interamente riservata senza altri ospiti o feste varie.
Come dice un proverbio noto: "hanno la paga del soldato ma le pretese del generale".
