Amazing hotel in Rome

Located near Roma Termini, which is very convinient when carrying luggage. 24/7 reception is convenient for travellers. Room was stylish, cleanliness was good and shower/bathroom more spacious than is common in Europe. Exceptionally friendly staff. Breakfast deserves to be praised. Rarely there are this much selection to choose from. Upon request they make a special coffee i.e. cappucino / espresso or squeeze fresh orange juice just for You. BRAVO! You get a lot of quality and value for your money here. Definately will book my stay here again.

Avoid at all costs! A 4-star price for a 2-star dump.

The Good:The reception staff was polite and welcoming.The Sri Lankan housekeeping gentleman was friendly and helpful.The Bad:The Room: Tiny like a matchbox. We literally had to climb over the bed just to get from one side of the room to the other.Zero Storage: There was no desk for a laptop and only one dirty chair. The bathroom had no vanity or counter space. We had to live out of our suitcases and carry our toiletries back and forth every single time.The Noise: Unbearable. It felt like sleeping in the middle of the road. Pedestrians were walking just a foot away from our room, screaming throughout the night.Housekeeping: Except for the one gentleman mentioned above, the female cleaning staff was incredibly rude, impolite, and left the room feeling dirty.Final Verdict:We booked this from Australia based on the excellent online ratings, but the reality was the exact opposite. This is advertised as a 4-star hotel, but it does not even meet 2-star standards. It is a noisy, cramped dump. Excellent location, and breakfast good for peanut allergy

We had a great 4 night stay at Hotel Alpi as a family of 4. The staff were really friendly, the rooms were comfortable (best shower ever!!), the breakfast was good (plenty for my daughter who has a peanut allergy...cereal, yoghurt, fruit, meats)) and there is a cute terrace bar if you fancy a beer before bed!
Great location, so close to the main rome train station and near the metro to get to the Vatican and to the coleseum. Would definitely go back!!

The perfect hotel to explore Rome!

We stayed at Hotel Alpi for 4 nights in June 2026 and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
The location was excellent, being close to transport links, plenty of restaurants and cafés, and within walking distance of many of Rome’s main tourist attractions. We’d particularly recommend Florian’s Cafe nearby for dinner!
The hotel was spotlessly clean, and our room was very comfortable. The bed was excellent, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot Italian summer. Although Rome can be loud outside, the windows offered quiet in the hotel room and it was very peaceful.
One of the highlights was the beautiful terrace, which was the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. You can also get drinks here, or take your own up. It was a lovely spot to read and chill, with a relaxed and romantic vibe.
Overall, we would highly recommend Hotel Alpi. It feels like a hidden gem, offering great value for money in a fantastic location for exploring Rome!
