Very disappointing experience!!!

Very disappointing experience. Old-fashioned hotel. Unfortunately, the photos that are published fail to give a complete and satisfactory idea, but rather an illusory one (what is published is the garden, the room with the piano...but no photos of the reception and the unrenovated rooms!!!) because once you arrive, the reality is quite different... I have never seen such dirty carpet on the stairs of a hotel.... I believe that a part has been renovated, but certainly not ours...In fact, they made us pay like a 4-star hotel...with the quality of only one star...The room was large but old in every way, with mattresses still with springs...very uncomfortable to sleep! The elevator that takes you to the floors is super dated with scary squeaks...Last but not least, they even made us pay for parking...A real shame because the location of this hotel is excellent and we are talking about a property that also has its own history. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!!!!

We were robbed. Staff didn’t seem to be shocked about it or sympathetic. It is advertised that there is CCTV but when it came to us needing it, they told us it doesn’t even work - and because of this, police said there was nothing they could do as there was no “proof”.
We went out for dinner for 1 hour with our one and only key, after ensuring our door and windows were closed and locked. We came back to find our door and bags wide open with our belongings strewn across the floor. We frantically searched through our items to find money taken from wallets.
Night staff were dismissive. We told them what had happened and we were visibly shaken up. Mostly, we worried about the fact that someone could quite clearly get into our room and we had to stay in there for another two nights before we left. We were told the only people that could get into the room were those with a keycard, which clearly wasn’t true considering we were robbed.
Don’t recommend risking this stay.

Chosen room with beautiful quiet sea view a bit dated but clean spacious quiet
Cuisine cured but nice dining room but VERY COLD and with air conditioners not usable problem unfortunately not solvable ..
It is located on the promenade Empress comfortable beach and center

Hotel near the seafront in Sanremo, very old structure, from outside has undergone a renovation and even in the rooms partly sn have been renovated, floor with creaking, evidently sn have been applied the strips of fake parket on existing floor, room with little soundproofing, you can hear all the noises in the corridor and in the neighboring rooms, wifi on the fourth floor very weak signal, room quite clean although I found a lot of hair and dust around, quality of sleep I would say more than enough, good breakfast with a lot of food choice, coffee and espresso, very old lift, small max 2 people

80s dinner

I was in this place for a business dinner, but unfortunately the experience was not positive. The environment would need a general renovation: the room appears neglected and poorly maintained. Even the mise en place left something to be desired, with dishes all different from each other (probably because the service was not complete), paper towels and plastic bottles on the table.
During dinner the prosecco was finished and no alternative wine was available, which created further discomfort. Overall, a disappointing experience: I personally believe that a star is already too generous.
