Wonderful stay

We stayed at Hotel Leone for four nights in June as part of our honeymoon, and it was an excellent choice for our time in Sorrento.
From the moment we arrived, we received a wonderfully warm welcome. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful, making us feel at home throughout our stay.
We were fortunate to have a beautiful room with a huge private balcony overlooking the surrounding hills – the perfect place to relax with a morning coffee or unwind in the evening. The room, along with the rest of the hotel, was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well maintained.
The pool area was a real highlight. It was peaceful, beautifully kept, and ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, so there was never any need to rush down in the morning.
The hotel’s location was fantastic – just a short stroll from the heart of Sorrento with its wonderful shops, cafés, and restaurants. There’s a gentle incline on the walk back, but it’s very manageable and certainly more of a pleasant wander than a climb.
Breakfast was another standout feature, with an excellent selection of fresh, delicious food and plenty of choice each morning. Being able to enjoy breakfast outside in the sunshine made it even more special.
During our stay, we booked a day trip to Amalfi through the hotel reception. The staff made the whole process effortless, and it was one of the highlights of our holiday. Their local knowledge and willingness to help made organising excursions incredibly easy.
Hotel Leone combines genuine hospitality, immaculate facilities, a peaceful atmosphere, and a superb location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, relaxing, and perfectly situated hotel in beautiful Sorrento.

Do not stay

This hotel could be a lot better the pool is nice but the rest is very outdated, I had a lot of ants in my room the whole time I was there, all over the bed, in the shower & all in my clothes. I told reception and he said it was because I have food in my room, which I did not have, the man’s name was Francesco, when I went to check out I told him again that the ants where everywhere and he said it is not his problem and I have already checked out now, he was very rude the whole time I was there I think it was because I was English. For this reason I would not recommend staying here as there are much nicer places in sorrento to stay for this price, he then told me the pool was fully booked up and I could not use it and then started swearing at me in Italian. So I would avoid at all costs

Very good location. Staff are first class and hotel is an ideal size. Always loungers available pool side. Plenty of choice at breakfast
Rooms reasonably modern apart from bathrooms.
Had a bit of an issue with ants. Was dealt with swiftly but not fully resolved during my stay.
Would return.

Fantastic hotel

Great stay at Hotel Leone! We were very happy with the service, incredibly nice staff and the cleanliness. The pool was quiet and the right size with pool bar right next door. The distance to the center of the city was just right for us, about 10 min.

Nice hotel in good location

The hotel is nice and clean and staff are very friendly. My luggage was delayed so reception tried to help recover it quickly which they didn't have to do. The pool is nice with plenty of sunbeds and there is a jacuzzi on the roof.
The hotel is in a quiet location but within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and the train station and port. There is also a large supermarket nearby too.
