Very charming place in the middle of everything which makes it very convenient. The room was comfortable and we loved the private balcony overlooking the street. The staff kindly provided some early breakfast for us on our last day we we needed to depart early.

Disappointing Stay!
Our experience at Relais 147 Boutique Hotel was unfortunately mixed and overall we found the hotel did not live up to our expectations.
The breakfast was subpar at best and did not meet the standard we would expect from a boutique hotel. Another significant issue was the hotel's accessibility. There is no drop-off directly in front of the hotel as the street is foot traffic only so you must park in a parking garage and then drag your luggage several block through the streets to reach the property. This was particularly inconvenient.
Noise was also a major concern during our stay. The hotel is located above a very busy street with substantial foot traffic and the noise would continue until 2:00 or 3:00 a.m. each morning. If you are looking for a quiet and restful stay, this is something you should definitely consider.
Unfortunately, the condition of the furniture in our room was another disappointment. The furniture appeared well worn and stained which distracted from the overall appearance and comfort of the room.
With all that said, we want to recognize Rahid who was exceptional. He met us in the parking garage and personally helped us get our luggage through the streets and to the hotel. He was extremely nice, hardworking and helpful. His coworker whose name i unfortunately do not remember was also very kind and helpful. Their hospitality and willingness to assist us were greatly appreciated.
While the staff members we encountered were wonderful, the breakfast, accessibility, late night street noise and condition of the room made our overall experience disappointing. We hope the hotel takes these issues into consideration as improvements in these areas could make a significant difference for future guests

UNSAFE/DIRTY/DISGUSTING/INCOMPETENT STAFF - STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE
DO NOT STAY! DIRTY! UNSAFE! TERRIBLE STAFF!
This was an unacceptable and unpleasant experience from start to finish (which only lasted about four hours). The room was in disgusting filthy condition upon arrival and did not meet even the most basic standards of cleanliness or maintenance. The state of the accommodation was so poor that I chose to leave and take a nap outside rather than remain inside the room.
The property also looks nothing like the photos advertised online, which are misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the rooms or facilities.
We were on our honeymoon, and this experience completely ruined the end of what should have been a special trip. Staff was rude and unhelpful throughout, and refused to allow us to check out even after we had not used the room due to its condition and our immediate decision to leave.
We felt unsafe staying there. The bed was in such poor condition that we did not feel comfortable even touching it. The sheets were visibly filthy, the rug was dirty, the door barely locked, and the air conditioning did not work.
I checked in at 12:00 PM and, due to the condition of the room as well as a constant loud banging noise coming from the ceiling, requested to check out by 4:00 PM. I was told that the owner responsible for decisions was on vacation, leaving no one available to address urgent guest concerns, and that I would have to wait for a response.
Instead of proper support, I was given a phone number to contact directly. After sharing my personal details and explaining the situation, I later learned this number belonged to a local tour operator with no affiliation to the property and no knowledge of why their contact information had been provided. This was confusing and completely inappropriate handling of guest communication.
After waiting without receiving any resolution, I returned to collect my belongings and leave. At that time, I discovered that my room had been entered without my permission, which raised serious concerns about privacy and security.
Throughout the stay of four hours, messages were clearly read immediately, BUT NOT RESPONDED TO UNTIL OVER 24 HOURS LATER AFTER MULTIPLE FOLLOW UPS.
Between the unacceptable room condition, HORRENDOUS staff behavior, refusal to allow checkout, misleading online photos, unsafe and unhygienic conditions, persistent noise, lack of management, mishandling of personal information, and unauthorized entry into the room, this property fell far below any reasonable standard of hospitality and safety.

Lovely large rooms right in the middle of Taormina, but nice and peaceful once in the garden.
Friendly welcome from Rohin and all the team are friendly and helpful.
Yes you will hear noise from the street early in the morning, but for a couple of days, that's fine. You're in one of the busiest tourist spots you'll ever visit.
We would stay again. Great value for the location.
