Beautiful but not practical
Very beautiful aesthetically, poor cleanliness and comfort.
Essential room with only one clothes rack and a few hangers (staying for a week is very inconvenient, maybe it's fine for a couple of days), no shelf on which to place items or toiletries (only the mini shelf on which the coffee machine is placed). Dirty walls and damaged baseboards.
The bathroom is inconvenient with a walk-in shower from which water comes out every time you wash and with the bidet attached to both the wall and the sink shelf. Two hooks for bathrobes but none for the hand towel. Furthermore, there was neither a toothbrush holder nor a full-length mirror in the room (even just a basic one attached to the wall would be useful).
Very beautiful exterior, there is a drying rack to hang things on but we had to ask for clothespins (after two days they were brought to us without any issues).
The affiliated bar, also owned by them, is very poor and with little choice (even among the juice flavors: only 3 out of the total ones written on the menu), it opens at 8:30 AM (a bit late if you want to find a spot to go to the beach, in fact we only used it for two days).
The minibar in the room stopped working after three days of our stay but it was never fixed, so all the water bought for the beach stayed warm.
The parking is inconvenient and not included: one evening we drove around the streets for 35 minutes to find it.

A 25th anniversary .... without pampering!
Our stay refers to the reservation of 15 AUGUST 2025 for the PLAZA boutique HOTEL in Tropea, subsequently canceled on 27.08.2025 and converted into a stay at MARE jungle retreat TROPEA, structure of the same group. We stayed in room 3 from 1 to 4 September 2025
Meanwhile, to access the room you pass in an alley between two condominiums, where there was always garbage on the ground and also there was a construction site (very far from the square. But we paid the same rate as PLAZA!).
The room is far from being pared to a 4-star hotel.
We accepted this proposal, at the same price as the Plaza Hotel, as we did not have time to make other reservations.
Upon arrival we paid a City tax of 4 € per night (total 24 €) double that indicated on the booking site.
Room No. 3 has significant flaws first of all it is claustrophobic, as it has no opening windows apart from the front door, which at night you can not leave open! To be able to breathe you must keep the air conditioning on, but the outlet is positioned on the bed so at night you risk pneumonia. If you turn off the air conditioning, the room is very humid and the air unbreathable!
The bathroom is not complete as the glass shower is placed in front of the bed and the bathroom is very small, to use the bidet the knees bang on the wall.
The private garden immersed in the jungle as advertised on the website is actually a little dense hedge separating the outdoor area of the rooms. Nor are you immersed in the jungle as advertised by the site's deceptive photos. In fact there was no privacy provided
We have not seen the carbon monoxide detector mandatory for B&Bs!
The TV was not usable, despite the request for assistance!
The breakfast included is poor in quantity and quality to be 4-star (only 1 croissant and a juice or cappuccino).
