Fabulous apartment for family of four
The apartment was ideally located. Free parking on site. Fantastic apartment to sleep
Family of four comfortably. Loved the spa and wellness area. The owners were super friendly and helpful. Great bread roll delivery service every day.

Mix of super wellness hotel / ski hotel, but without restaurant, you can hardly do it better!
This is a great 4 star hotel, but without a restaurant, that's how I see it. "Apartment" is clearly too deep here!
For us exactly what we were looking for and at a fair price!
We usually stay in 4-star hotels, preferably with wellness. What often bothered us was this gluttony all day long. Yeah, you don't have to, but since it's been there... . And at dinner, we would often prefer something simple rather than "on" and "from" and "to" with 5 courses. And eating out is (almost) always associated with restaurant selection, booking a table, running.... So cook for yourself what you like best. Also with great South Tyrolean ingredients (cheese, shaken bread...).
We arrived and then we go down the steep, quite narrow 90 degree curved underground parking ramp... . Sip! Is that where our car touches down? No, it doesn't, but it was close. The AHK touched only very lightly during slow start-up.
As in almost any hotel garage, it is tight (with a long car with a bicycle rack) but doable. First surprise: Each pitch can be powered by a cable on the ceiling. Great to load bikes, better than in the room and frostproof it is also.
Then a very warm welcome from the boss!
You immediately notice that here in the house everyone is trying to fulfill every wish and make everything possible - great!
Rooms:
Good size with everything you need, plenty of closet space, wardrobe, balcony, TV, dining area, sofa. The kitchen is excellently fully equipped. You even get tea towels changed daily (despite dishwasher), non-self-ending things like citrus juicer, salad spinner... everything there, and neatly arranged. What is also immediately noticeable is that everything is really tip top clean. There are plenty of outlets, you have to bring USB chargers. Only the TV is only partially visible from the bed, is made for the sofa.
In the Spar supermarket you are on foot in three minutes, about 300m with very generous opening hours (even on Sundays and holidays - but not rely on it!). The city center is a minute away with many shops and restaurants.
A dedicated shuttle bus takes skiers to the lifts (one right next to the house).
Breakfast:
We thought there was no breakfast at all, but a roll service made to order...?
Far from it! Every morning the reception area is converted into a breakfast buffet. No order, no extra charge. With everything you need. Super!
The sweet seductions often lie there until noon, and you can take something at any time.
Wellness:
you have to keep in mind that the house has only about 11 apartments and no wellness temple we the giant hotels. But: for this it is a super wellness area, and with lots of space and few people! The very warm Jacuzzi can accommodate up to 10 guests; really great massage jets and powerful air blower; the water should be around 37 degrees. Mega!
One of the best hot tubs ever! The sauna is big enough and really hot. The steam room has a "fog machine" that you can hardly find the door - mega! Then it has an ice-cold cooling basin with running water, probably from its own source (?). We didn't use the salamarius (I guess) with salty, cool air, but also made it nice.
You can lie in three or four separate areas, enough space. Towels are available downstairs, slippers and bathrobe in the apartment. Bottom line: this was the best and most relaxing wellness we could ever use in a small "hotel"! We were in it EVERY night in a week.
And when leaving the wellness area there is also a basket with various bottles, brandies and liqueurs standing around - delicious! (Water is also available...)
The service is excellent and very familiar.
The reception isn't always busy, but a pressure on the head and someone rushes in.
We would definitely come back!

Fabulous place in a location outside the center but very close. Excellent services offered such as shuttles for skiers and breakfast available in the hall, stroller and bicycle rental.
Don't miss the spa, which is always spotless and well-serviced.
Although the property is not brand new it has been maintained and updated in an excellent manner. Super Mrs. Mirka.

Residence Ciastel
Aesthetically fairytale-like structure located on the outskirts of Ortisei just over 5 minutes walk from the centre. Our suite is very nice, consisting of a double bed and living room with sofa/table (all in the same room), kitchenette, bathroom with superb shower and wooden terrace. Everything was clean, quiet and suggestive but some factors did not convince us and, since these are not exactly cheap places, it is right to consider every aspect. I think of the omnipresent carpet, of the porthole in our door which allowed anyone from the outside to peek in, of the breakfast food present in the entrance left on display day and night without "protection", of the annoying column placed in the middle of the room which made it impossible to watch the TV from the bed (among other things quite small and also faulty) or at the reception which, despite the declared opening, was unmanned during daytime hours (once we waited half an hour to receive assistance). In the end, however, Residence Ciastel is beautiful and can give you a fairytale stay but it should get rid of the dominant golden colour, the baroque elements and the many furnishings that "weigh down" the environment: let's leave the dimension of a glossy 80s hotel and let's project it to the future!
