Perfect Location, Needs Improvement
Unfortunately, the rest was a bit disappointing. The soundproofing is almost non-existent: if someone in the room next door flushes the toilet, it honestly feels like they're standing right next to your bed.
The reception staff were great and always friendly and helpful. However, some of the other staff members seemed more interested in their phones than in the guests. At breakfast one morning, we actually had to go looking for a staff member in the kitchen because she was busy on the phone.
The hotel itself feels quite dated and could really benefit from some proper maintenance. Small details such as the silicone seals around the shower and sinks need attention, and overall the property would look much better if repairs were carried out more carefully.
It's not a bad hotel, and the location is a huge plus, but with a little more attention to maintenance and customer service, the experience could be much better.

Central location but average hotel.
The hotel is just okay; it could use some updates, but there are details that are important to consider.
Our room was number 128. To access it, you have to climb some steep stairs, as it is located in the attic. The ceiling height is 1.85 m. Fortunately, my husband is 1.83 m tall and avoided touching the ceiling during our two-night stay.
The television was not working; it was not essential, but it is a sign of neglect.
The air conditioning, although outdated, served its purpose. Fortunately, we had it, because if we opened the window, we could hear the noise from another air conditioning unit's motor.
The double bed was a fold-out bed, and there was another single bed in that room. Aesthetically, it looked unattractive.
The floor was carpeted, which was not hygienic at all.
Our friends were in room 138, which was much nicer than ours, with a ceiling featuring exposed beams and wooden flooring. They also had stairs for access. Be cautious regarding individuals with reduced mobility.
I also do not recommend room 134, which is located in front of the kitchen and is very noisy when they prepare breakfast in the morning.
Summary: we valued the location; the price in May was about €175 per night (excluding taxes) and without breakfast.
There is a very efficient café on the corner with a variety of options for breakfast. Although there are no chairs to sit on, it works well, and everything was delicious.
The reception staff was not very friendly, but they answered our questions.
The luggage (during check-in and check-out) can be left in a room next to the reception. But it is better to bring locks for your luggage, as I did not see much control over the guests' bags.

Heart of Venice
It had a small desk, cupboard, safe and fridge, not a lot of room for luggage but again it’s a beautiful old building, don’t stay here if you want space.
The bathroom was remodelled and it was great, super strong and hot shower, toilet and bidet, the only suggestion I would have is to relocate the towel rail from above the bidet, not a lot of other places to locate it but it made me nervous I was going to drop the towel into the bidet.
Overall the rom was excellent and my wife and I enjoyed it.
Breakfast was excellent, the bacon and eggs were good for hotel spec, the yogurt, cereals, pastries, waffles, toast and pancakes with jams and honey delicious, the serving staff did a good job under busy circumstances in a confined space, if this bothers you go stay at a soulless new hotel.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk to St Marks, 2 ferry stops (St Marc and St Maria Del Giglio) lots of nice restaurants and shops, including the excellent cafe downstairs, it’s in the heart of old Venice and a great place to stay if you want to throw yourself into exploring this amazing city.
Finally the staff including reception were VERY helpful and polite, they allowed us to stow our bags for a few hours and were ready to direct us to late night eating spots on our arrival at 10:30pm. They were courteous and professional at all times.
This is an old, charming hotel of character in an ideal location not a Best Western (no offence BW are great too) so before you start complaining maybe research your stay in the appropriate hotel.
I would like to thank the Hotel Torino for looking after us, we look forward to returning once again to you and your beautiful city.
David and Melissa.

A Magical Stay in Venice
The rooms are basic. Bed/desk/fridge and that's all we needed as we were just there to sleep . There is a beautiful coffee shop on the corner which we went to each morning for caffe and pastry.
I recommend this hotel for your stay.
