Scalon del Doge felt like Home away from Home!

My husband and I LOVED our stay at cozy Scalon del Doge! Alessandra and her staff were incredibly kind, warm and inviting. They made us feel like we were home away from home. Our amazing room was stunning, with a beautiful chandelier and Italian cookies and nuts on a beautiful little table. Morning breakfast was delicious! Great location! She gave us wonderful recommendations for places to eat! We needed a water taxi when we left and she arranged that for us. Make sure to take the tour from them. Alessandra took us on a wonderful tour we learned a lot about Venice! As we left she gave me the sweetest Murano glass starfish necklace. We would love to return! What a special memorable stay!

The hostess and owner was friendly and helpful with information about what to visit, restaurants recommendations and how to get around. The location is central and you can easily walk to the most popular tourist spots in Venice. 3 min walk to the Rialto Bridge & Vaporeto Boat Stop so you can get anywhere you want that way too. The room was a nice size, very clean, beautifully decorated and the AC worked very well. Good water pressure too. Breakfast is included: you give your preference the day before so they make sure to have what you would like on hand. You can choose from 2 breakfast times: 8:30 or 9:15. Contact them before booking if you have any questions; they are very responsive. This is a small boutique hotel with only 5 rooms, so it is very quiet,

Alessandra absolutely does not need 5 extra stars because that is the rating everyone gives to the Scalon del Doge... and it is very well deserved! You will be very well welcomed there, staff very attentive, ideal location near the Rialto Bridge, exquisite rooms... we are delighted with our stay, and in large part thanks to this magical place!

Wonderful experience in the heart of Venice!

Excellent stay! Very pleasant welcome with explanations of the various tours of Venice. The room is decorated in a typical Venetian style and features a very beautiful Murano chandelier. Very quiet location and 2 min. from the Rialto Bridge. Very good breakfast, hearty and varied. Thanks to Alessandra and her entire team.

Beautiful hotel, perfect location

We had a wonderful stay! The room was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Everything we needed was provided, and it made exploring the city so easy.
The breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety of fresh food every morning, making a perfect start to the day.
A special thank you to Allessandra – she is an amazing host! She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always quick to respond. She gave us great recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Her hospitality truly made our trip even more enjoyable.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!
