Day in Volterra

We were guests of the nuns' cloister for a visit to the town of Volterra, beautiful! As for the overnight stay, we were very comfortable, the service was kind, and the rooms were spacious and quiet. It is located a twenty-minute walk from the historic center, so it is very convenient. We also had dinner in the evening, very generous appetizers and a good dinner but nothing sophisticated.

What peace!

We only slept here for one night and the breakfast was superb!! Everything was excellent, abundant, and with desserts made by them...
For dinner, we took advantage of the half board, which consisted of one first course, one second course with a side, and water... everything was excellent and abundant.
Spacious and well-furnished rooms...
The reception staff were very kind... as were the waiters!!!

The food was not optimal; I would like to report that out of 5 days of stay, 4 days they served potatoes, and I would not return to this hotel as it is terrible. And finally, I found hair in my bed; there were many.

Gentilissimo Lorenzo, ci dispiace che il ristorante non sia stato di suo gradimento. I menù vengono scelti dalle agenzie e dalle scuole e spesso le patate sono la prima scelta per i ragazzi, perchè si pensa che il resto non sia gradito. Per quanto riguarda il letto, magari nel prossimo Hotel lo faccia presente in reception in modo che possa essere cambiato. Cordiali saluti

Food was not very good, breakfast cakes were served for multiple days, making them stale. Stale sandwiches and the same dinner options were offered every time. Many people were unwell. Everything else was very good.

Salve Amon, immaginiamo che lei sia stato da noi in gita scolastica. Il menù viene scelto dalle agenzie e spesso con spese contenute, ma teniamo presente il suo giudizio e cercheremo di fare meglio.

Convenient hotel

Traditional hotel in a former monastery. Friendly staff that speaks several languages. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, although a bit outdated.
In house restaurant is a good alternative for dinner, but the breakfast is disappointing.
Be aware of the location as it is a little removed from the city center.
