Always great to Stay
I enjoy the great location, friendly staff, wonderful food at breakfast and the religious feel of the Agron Guest House. As a guest for many years I always try to spend some time here. Easy walk to synagogues. Easy walk to Old City. Close shopping.

Wasn't good at all.
I went on an annual trip and we arrived at the hostel. Please be in Jerusalem.
One-star hosts were just a few individuals who behaved well. The guests were us.
One uncomfortable room hot and choking a lot of Russian stuff
Food zero-unsuitable for eating We all got one big stomach pain
I hope I won't go back to this lodge.

Is it worth 125$ a night? not really
I was there in August, and the location is excellent, so why such a bad rating?
Because when I booked my room I had asked for a quiet one.
What I actually got was right on the street, above the very noisy adjoining crossroad with all the buses and bikes starting their engine at the traffic light..
I asked for a quieter one...which I got and at at first , but then it appeared that early in the morning (around 6:30am) it became awfully noisy as it was just above the reception and the entrance to the dining room.
Another bad point: the service was non-existent.
No towels, no soap, I had to go down to the reception to ask for one.
One correction regarding the Free parking mentioned on the page: only a dozen spaces available (I was lucky enough to get the last one)
So yes the location is quite good and the breakfast good, but for the price paid (125$ for one guest) you can find many more better options in the center of the city.

Very strict check-in rules Friday / Saturday!!
This is an orthodox Jewish hotel. I had booked in with my mother on a Saturday and had apparently missed the email saying we could not book in until 10pm (despite Shabbat ending around 8). We turned up at 5pm (after a day trip with another very friendly hostel on the other side of town) and were it not for a lovely orthodox young man who was passing by and happened to see us getting stone-walled by the security guard, we would not have been allowed past the front gate. Unlike the staff of the Agron hotel this young man sympathised with the fact that we were strangers in a strange land and had no clue of the customs (which were, I add, unique to this hotel...the other hostel checked people in throughout the day and there is nothing under hotel policies on the Agron website to indicate that they are so strict). When we eventually were allowed in the staff made us feel really small for not appreciating that this was Israel on Shabbat (despite it not saying anything about checking in on Shabbat on the Agron webpages) and we were repeatedly told we could not cancel our booking despite the fact we couldn’t book in and were utterly exhausted...my mother is 70. However with the young man’s help we managed to cancel our booking and return to our previous hostel (who were lovely). This was a really poor experience in an otherwise amazing trip to Israel. Hotel Agron have every right to keep Shabbat however they want, but if they are encouraging foreigners to book into their hotel they should make their policies much clearer.
