The Worst view but the best heart!

I honestly don’t have enough words to describe our incredible three-night stay at The Walled Off Hotel—but I’ll give it my best shot! The magic started weeks before we even arrived. Not long after booking, we received the loveliest message from Bisher at reception, saying how excited they were to welcome us. From that moment on, we just knew we were in for something special.
We chose to visit over Christmas, and every question I sent was met with a quick, thoughtful reply. Bisher went above and beyond—tracking down a Christmas tree for our room and decorating it with beautiful, handmade Palestinian ornaments. Before we’d even set foot inside, the hotel already felt like home.
Funnily enough the website doesn’t do this place justice. The Walled Off Hotel is bursting with atmosphere and obviously incredible art. When trying to explain it to a friend, the best comparison I could come up with was an old Wild West saloon from the late 1800s—a lively, buzzing hub where people from all walks of life gather. Everyone there, whether staying or just visiting, seems to share a mission: to learn, to have fun, be kind, and connect.
Check-in was effortless, and from the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Not just “hotel welcome” welcome—but family welcome. Within hours, this place truly felt like our home.
Bisher also arranged a driver for us, the wonderful Alaa, who took us everywhere we wanted to go. Along the way, he shared Palestinian stories and history in a way that was open, honest, and deeply educational—never preachy. We learned so much, and every journey became part of the adventure. We also did a tour of the refugee camp hosted by Marwan an ex Refugee and it was one of the most emotionally charged tours so much so I was genuinely speechless for several hours afterwards trying to process it all.
I genuinely wish I could write a book about this hotel and our four days in Palestine. I have been to the Middle East many times before and count myself fairly educated in the regions politics but the trip opened my eyes much much further . It was packed with adventure, incredible food, learning, and moments that were emotional, powerful, and unforgettable. I’ve travelled to many places and stayed in some truly lovely hotels—but The Walled Off Hotel isn’t just my favourite hotel. It’s one of my favourite life experiences, ever.

Amazing hotel Opened recently..it is just Infront of the wall, and this is why it is called the walled off hotel. It is more than hotel, it has museum, Gallery and rooms for stay. Each detail inside is a story. Some tourists like to spend a night . If you visit Bethlehem, it is nice to visit and walk near by. Some people from different consulates visit the hotel, like the picture I added

The best hotel I have ever visited!

We visited the hotel because I was here for a family wedding. The staff was so amazing we felt we were at home. We stayed in four different rooms and they were lovely. The good was amazing and the experience was beyond what we expected. The warmth and hospitality is seldom found. They connected us with a tour guide who became a trusted friend who drove the bride and our family to the wedding. The experience was so much better than staying in one of the large hotels because we connected with the staff. The hotel only has 9 rooms so it was like being with a large family at home.
