A very pleasant experience overall. Would go back

Toby's is a small property on Mobay's Hip Strip-- clean rooms, decent, friendly service by dining room staff. Make sure you tip the bellhop) (Given its location one expected more hustle and bustle. No. Very quiet. Found none essential food (cup of tea) expensive but breakfast was a delight. I definitely would go back but eat in Town. Lots of Jamaican fruits available nearby

They have the air conditioning and television remote locked up that you will have to get from the front desk. The room is small. There is no kitchen/kitchenette area. It has a small fridge. The have bad bug infestation. If you leave food out expect ants to be in your food. There's a door in the room, but it's not secured enough. The room is kind of outdated. The rate of room is not feasible; it should be a lot less than $100

I had a good experience at Toby. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. The location is excellent and very convenient. The place itself was okay, but the great location and good service made for a pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend Toby.

Toby's Restaurant Great for Groups

This review is for Toby's Restaurant on the resort property. It was great for our group of 10 for dinner, with a varied menu from Italian to Jamaican Brown Stew Chicken. Many of the teens in our group loved the generous portions of Penne Alfredo pasta with chicken. I personally enjoyed the Pumpkin Soup (with chicken). The restaurant seated our group easily. The room we were in had AC and also mounted wall fans, so we were very comfortable.

Don't hesitate... it's not an all inclusive hotel. It's not a 5 star hotel. However, It's very well situated regardless of whether you want to just potter around Montego bay or venture to Ocho Rios or Negril.
Spencer and the security team will make sure you're safe. The restaurant food is competitively priced, good portions and all the staff are exemplary of Jamaican warmth. You can get breakfast after 11am because they're nice like that.
The rooms have everything you need without being too basic or fancy. House keeping is top notch. Beds are comfortable. I travelled extensively to many countries and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel except if you're hard to please and expect 5 star accommodation for the price of this hotel. It's only downside is it that it's not modern.
Would I stay again? definitely. Would I recommend to friend's and family? Yes, except those who I know prefer to pay a little extra for luxury.
This is the hotel for people who are not focused on the all inclusive holiday resort.
