He is described as a man in his 50s, 181cm tall and weighing 72kg. I stayed alone in a twin capsule. I found it tough to have a room smaller than this because of my size.
I also feel that at this price without hot springs, the cost of a guest house is not necessarily good.
The staff are friendly and friendly, but I thought it would be good to feel added value as a guest house if they liven up a little more, such as exchanges between guests and between staff and guests.

Traveling alone after retirement in Atami City

I was traveling alone on a motorcycle from Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture. The staff had been to Tohoku before, so we had a natural conversation and it was a fun trip. There were many places to see, so this guesthouse is one I would like to visit again for three nights. (I look forward to seeing you again.)

I used it for workcation purposes!

This was my first time staying here, and it was much more comfortable than I had imagined.
The first thing that impressed me was how friendly the staff were, and how they all had lovely smiles. This was the biggest factor that made this stay so comfortable.
As this was a workcation, on the day I checked in I used naedoco to concentrate on work from just after 9am. For lunch I had a fresh sashimi set meal at nearby Ajisato, recommended by the staff. I worked hard until the evening before checking in. For dinner I had a luxurious drink by myself at another recommended yakitori restaurant, Manraku. Not only was it delicious, but the owner was very kind and left me both satisfied and satisfied. After the meal I took a bath and returned to the inn, where I fell into a deep sleep. For me, I think I was able to sleep better and more comfortably in Maruya's capsule, which has no unnecessary extras, than in a hotel.
The next morning I worked from early in the morning in the common area. I had breakfast when I started to get hungry. This time I couldn't hold out until 9am, so I had some dried horse mackerel at the inn before going home. The rice, miso soup, and dried fish were all delicious, so I was very satisfied! This is great value for just a few hundred yen. After that, I continued working in the common area until check-out time of 11:00.
After checking out, I planned to relax before heading home, so I was recommended lunch and a hot spring that I could enter from the daytime, so I went to "Yoshigyotei" and had a dried fish set meal and a drink for lunch. I thought I had a little time before the baths opened, so I passed by the inn wondering if there was anywhere else, and found that it was open as a bar, so I returned. I enjoyed chatting with the staff while drinking Shizuoka beer and Atami beer, snacking on grilled salted mackerel. After that, I refreshed myself in the day hot spring before taking a leisurely ride back to Tokyo on the local train.
And so, this time I enjoyed my workcation to the fullest at MARUYA. It was all thanks to the kind and wonderful staff. The inn was clean and I was very satisfied! Thank you. I'll come again.

Very friendly and nice location

If you are staying in Atami, this place is great. There is a nice kitchen, soup and rice breakfast is only three hundred yen, there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The sleeping space is crowded if you try to put your luggage in too. The showers are clean and plenty of hot water. Toilets do not have washlets. It is about 10 to15 minutes walk from the Atami train station and the guest house sign is a bit small so it is easy to miss. Rooms are a bit warm at night so you might turn off your light and open the door to cool the room off before going too sleep. I would stay here again. Visited 15 November 2018.
