Solidly Japanese onsen hotel! Book dinner ahead to eat in
This is a well appointed old-fashioned Japanese onsen hotel.Not the most glamorous place you'll ever stay, but the surrounds, atmosphere and the price is excellent.
The rooms are large tatami w futon. But we were provided with bid stand i'm asked , and with the futons out of the cupboard , we managed to have a really comfy bed. Worth noting is the buffet breakfast -huge and the Korean masseuses excellent price and service.
Probably need to book the restaurant in advance for dinner as we missed. Instead we walked 10mins through a country village to a lovely japanese traditional old family run restaurant near the Kyuanji shrine , but it's only open till 5PM

Staff are kind
I used the Fushio Onsen Immortal Palace .
He chose a one-day bathing ticket as a return gift from his wife's uncle's wife, and the couple visited.
The mini kaiseki dishes I was looking forward to were beautiful in appearance, and each dish was carefully prepared and very delicious. We were able to enjoy the hot springs and the meal slowly, and had a luxurious time.
The spacious garden open-air bath is particularly impressive in the hot springs, and you can take a relaxing bath while feeling the nature. The quality of the spring was thick and my skin felt smooth after the bath.
The staff were also very helpful and friendly in their service. They saw me off with a banner on my way home and I could feel the warm hospitality until the end.
Looking at the state of the facility, you can tell that it is a hot spring inn that has been loved for many years, with many users thought to be regulars. The hot springs, food, and service were all very satisfying, and it was a lovely inn I wanted to visit again.

The rooms were clean. The staff were helpful. The yukatas for the onsen are on the first floor, there is room service and drink service until 12:00am. The options can be quite limited and pricey but I suggest is order delivery service and get something you’d want. The nearest restaurant is about 10-15 min walk up hill. Karaoke room is quite expensive for 1 hour. The view that we received of the foliage was amazing. The onsen itself was 7/10, it’s not like the onsen you get in Hokkaido but it’s still nice. Overall would stay here again, if other ryokans are full.

We had both a great massage in the spa. We liked the variety of hot water baths. We had a special Japanese dinner with 17 pots and pans; quite an experience. It's handy that a little shops in the lobby sell food, drinks, trinkets and souvenirs. I liked my kimono and wished that I could take it with me. Overall a very Japanese experience.

Everything was amazing, food and staff accomodation was absolutely top notch. The public open air bath was so relaxing, also equipped with a sauna and an ice cold bath. We also had the room with private open air bath and the view to the outside was amazing from the bath. Also has free shuttle to and from the closest train station (Ikeda Station) all you have to do is just make reservation with front desk. There are beautiful hikes nearby as well.
