I was satisfied with the good hot springs and delicious food.
The room was a Japanese-style room of about 12 tatami mats. It is an old inn, but the inside is kept clean (no Wi-Fi).
There are no chairs in the room, so I requested one in advance and borrowed one.
There is a wide veranda, so I thought it would be good if there was a chair and table set (because it is a bit difficult to sit on the tatami all the time).
I read in a review that the toilet in the room was a problem because it was "Japanese".
The toilet in this room was changed from Japanese style to Western style, and it was okay to use it.
There is no washlet, but there is a toilet with a washlet for both men and women outside the room.
There is also no refrigerator in the room, but there is a large refrigerator right next to the room that you can use, so you can keep cold drinks cold.
There are no convenience stores near the inn, so if there are any snacks you want, it is better to buy them in advance.
Well, there is no open-air bath, but the water is not hot, so I was able to take a leisurely bath.
The hot spring water is good and makes the skin smooth. It is open 24 hours a day, so I went in many times during my stay.
The women's bath is a bathroom that can fit about two people, and has two washing areas.
Amenities include facial soap, all-in-one, toothpaste, etc. in the wash area.
The men's bath is quite spacious, including the changing room (we were the only guests staying this time, so we were able to use both baths).
I try not to take photos of the public baths at the inn, but this time we had it for private use during our stay, so I took a photo of the women's bath.
Meals are served in the room for dinner, breakfast, and lunch.
First, dinner. It was so beautifully presented that I exclaimed, "Wow!" and each dish was amazing.
The vinegared dish had nine different ingredients, including crab, shrimp, scallops, octopus, and seaweed. There were also seven types of tempura, including vegetables and shrimp, six types of sashimi, eight types of appetizers, including large shrimp, seven types of simmered dishes, including vegetables, and a large chawanmushi with the scent of yuzu.
The mountain yam was sticky yet fluffy, and the yamame trout was large and easy to remove the meat from.
The grilled bracts were fragrant, and I thought it would be great to eat it with rice, but unfortunately I was too full to eat the rice and soup, so I refrained.
However, I did enjoy the fruit dessert (melon, pear, and mandarin orange).
I drank sake, including Takatenjin (300c), a local sake from Kakegawa City, for 880 yen.
The breakfast was delicious, and this time lunch was included, and the kamameshi was filled with more ingredients than I've ever seen.
I've never seen anything with so many ingredients, even at a kamameshi restaurant.
There were about two and a half bowls of chicken, mushrooms, carrots, bamboo shoots, etc., and I thought I would be able to finish it all, but I ate it all together with fried eggplant, shishito peppers, fried fish, pickles, etc.
The piping hot rice cooked in front of my eyes warmed both my body and my soul.
All three meals, dinner, breakfast, and lunch, were very satisfying and I thought, "Oh, so delicious!"
The landlady's hospitality also really warmed my heart. Whenever I asked or asked something, she was kind, polite, and gentle.
Whenever she came to my room, she always knocked and called out to me before opening the door, and I thought she was very considerate of her guests.
At high-class inns, when the waitress came to my room multiple times for in-room dining, I have experienced many times that she opened the door without me saying anything, but that did not happen at this inn.
I think this inn is a place that will heal anyone who visits with the hospitality of the landlady and the owner, the great hot springs, and the delicious, heartfelt food.
