The view was great, the calculated optimization was too great, including the flow to all the necessary places, the cooking

There was a large hall, a concert theater, a buffet-style lunch at the observation restaurant with a panoramic view of Kobe Port and Mt. Rokko was very good, a karaoke hall that was too large, a high-speed elevator with a lot of waiting time, and I had never seen such a comfortable facility before.
It's tough walking downtown, but...

The best location for International congress at Kobe Convention Center

Just adjacent to Kobe Convention Center, the most convenient location for international congress. Grand view from all hotel rooms enhances the motivation of travel. Room service dinner is excellent quality with full of local cuisine (fish and Kobe beef). Highly recommended for the international travelers visiting Kobe.

worst horrible disappointing stay in Portopia Hotel Kobe

The worst experience ever, terrible stay in Portopia Kobe. As a tourist has been to Janpan for 10 times, I cannot imagine Kobe has such a dirty, unclean hotel exist. Attached photos of cockroach found in hotel room at midnight, that's so disgusting. One cockroach found all over the hotel could have it. Hotel front desk manager asked staff to clean and spray the insect no apology at all, only offered to change a room at 2am on spot.
I was disappointed by the cleanliness and condition of the room, I hope the issue can be property addressed, and hope hotel manager can look into this matter and advise whether any compensation or resolution is available. Except apology email received after complained to front desk, nothing I have heard from by far. As well, my review through booking has been closed. What a horrible experience i had in Kobe. Never ever come to Kobe, never ever recommend this hotel to others.

This was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced in Japan.
1. The hotel struggled to find my reservation and made the check-in process far more difficult than necessary.
2. I was charged an additional 5% credit card fee because of a clerical error by hotel staff (which management refused to correct.)
3. When I requested a taxi to the airport, the hotel staff booked a ride for me through their preferred taxi service; upon arrival at the airport, I was charged a "gaijin tax" by the driver and paid nearly double the Kobe city taxi rate for my fare.
4. At checkout, I handed the hotel staff a stamped postcard to mail out for me and they flat out refused it, instructing me to "go to the post office."
5. There was a lot of anti-foreigner policing by staff near the lobby area, where I was bizarrely followed by an employee and subsequently asked to leave the lounge area (even though domestic guests were allowed to stay.)
...
Overall, this hotel stay was terrible.
Everything comes down to the awful, impassionate, and intolerant staff, who made me feel unwelcomed as a guest (and used as a customer.)
If you have the choice, stay elsewhere in Kobe and save yourself a horrible customer service experience.
