3 nights at Yoruya

The best boutique accomodation we have stayed in a long time.
Manager MIYA is an absolute gem.
Made us feel like we were in the Yoruya family & spoke perfect English.
Food excellent/room hit the mark/clean as a whistle/quiet & serene.

BEST RYOKAN IN OKAYAMA ✨

We have had one of the best experiences in all of Japan. This ryokan has surprised us by its careful design and zen aesthetics, preserving the Japanese tradition. Both the Gastronomy and the Service are really excellent. Fully recommended. I take the best of memories. I hope to come back

Beautiful property in Kurashiki.

Beautiful renovated historical property on the very edge of the Bikan Historical Quarter with exceptionally warm staff. We had dinner and breakfast in the dining room and enjoyed both. The chef is incredibly talented and the food is not only delicious but beautifully presented. In a property of this calibre, I would have expected a full suite of amenities including bathrobes in the room.

Historical, unassuming, and breathtaking

Beautifully designed rooms with warm, thoughtful details—especially the bath with a view of the brick walls and courtyard. Dinner was delicate and delicious, with a great selection of local sake. The chef and host were both welcoming. The wine bar after dinner is a hidden gem with off-menu picks—worth visiting even on its own. Breakfast was amazing too, especially the freshly cooked rice. Staff were kind and even walked me to the parking lot when I got lost. Very close to the Bikan Historical Quarter. Wish I stayed one more night.
