Central location, clean hotel, very friendly.
Location is great! It’s an easy walk to many restaurants and all the hidden gems that Kyoto has to offer. The rooms are small, but not any smaller than we would expect for Tokyo, Kyoto, or anywhere else in Japan.
Everything was clean and nice. The king-size bed had a large leather-covered headboard that wrapped around it, and that definitely needs the upholstery replaced. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and well maintained.
The breakfast buffet had a lot to offer, and the staff was very friendly and easy to communicate with in English.
I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again. It was a great hotel, though nothing uniquely spectacular. I would recommend it, and I would come back. Just don’t expect to spend a lot of time enjoying your room. Our view was terrible—electrical wires and concrete—but the view down the hallway overlooked beautiful gardens.

Loved staying here! Rooms were very clean and WiFi was good in room. Great location close to a lot of shopping and close to the bus and train station. Recommend the buffet breakfast! Lots of options and it was delicious. Would highly recommend staying here!

This was an amazing place to stay for our Kyoto visit! Perfectly located close to all the beautiful spots in the Gion area and everything you could need within walking distance. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff were top notch! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location in the best neighborhood in Kyoto. Doesn’t seem like much when you drive up but then you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the lobby and check in.

Bad very bad
My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing.
After checking out, I realized that I had accidentally left approximately €2,000 in cash in my room. I returned to the hotel about two hours later to retrieve it. By then, the room had already been cleaned, and the money had disappeared.
I immediately informed the hotel staff, but no one was able to explain what had happened or locate the money. The situation was so serious that I had to call the Japanese police and file an official report.
I am leaving Kyoto without having recovered my money, and I am deeply disappointed with how this incident was handled. I understand that guests can accidentally leave belongings behind, but I expected a much higher level of responsibility and assistance in dealing with such a serious situation.
For this reason, I cannot recommend this hotel.

結局、現金は見つからないまま京都を離れることになり、この件に対するホテルの対応には大変失望しています。誰でも忘れ物をしてしまう可能性はありますが、このような重大な問題に対しては、より誠実で責任ある対応を期待していました。
このような経験をしたため、私はこのホテルをおすすめすることはできません
